Soon to be Death Island

Justicio stood alone on the helm of his boat as it rode to the island. All preperations of the previous topic still in effect and his hands on his two Katana with his elbow bent to keep his preperations from being all for naught. Finally within sight of two islands there are two. The first made of lush green land with animals visible running from place to place back and forth while the other island could have nothing alive. Volcanos lay across the land and nothing living rested there with ease. So Justicio gripped his heaven scroll and in that same motion released his grip on his left handed blade to do so, and walked forward a small amount so as not to fall off of his boat and stand right along the edge as the boat moved towards Life Island. At least what Justicio asumed to be something that would have the name of Life Island. While he was first ship out of the docks and heading towards an island he figured he would make things honorable and easy for the incoming ninja. Stepping farther he jumped off when touching the last bit of the edge and launching his body into the air landing on the beachy side of Life Island. Stepping a few more steps inland Justicio spun around and then sat cross legged with his blades laid across his waist and his little preperation still in effect. Waiting for someone to come.

To answer the waiting call at the gates, approached someone who's mission was to never fail. A lone figure approached, he wore a scarf around his own neck, he wore a sleeve-less black shirt and black shorts, it was obvious that his favorite color was black. However, aside from his fashion taste he also had a great favor in weapons, Nishi wielded a single tanto which he carried at his left side, but this was not the only secret he held. His silver eyes, his white hair, and his dark skin all contrary to one another, but he held them in no regard at the moment. The day was nice with the sun particularly bright, the sound of animals in the distance, the lush greenery that separated the beach from the rest of the island, and the elegant ocean that he had to cross to get to here. He inhaled the sweet air that lingered on the beach, the smell of sea water filled his senses while the anxiety of battle filled his very soul, he snapped out two kunai, and wrapped them in paper, once he finished he placed them back into his weapons pouch.

Nishi's boat had came across the beach just a short distance away from his current location. Having walked this distance hoping to see any sign that someone had docked onto this island had paid off, in the distance he spotted someone sitting with their legs crossed with a shining in their lap, obviously some type of weapon. 'Hmm, must enjoy sword play........if he stayed by the water then he must have some kinda advantage with water......hmmm should be fun.' Nishi continued to walk close, his guard was now up and it seemed that things were about to get real around here. He looked around, noting that there was nobody else around the guy, either because he came alone or was setting up an ambush. 'Not the situation I wanted but I guess i'll have to take it.....gotta get a scroll some kinda way.' Nishi sighed as he went from a walk into a run, his run turned into a quick sprint, on the move he swiftly pulled out two kunai. 'Lets party!' Swiftly Nishi tossed his left hand kunai first, then his right hand kunai their aim was at his opponent attempting to hit him hard as a bit of a hello.

Nishi would continue to move behind his kunai withdrawing his tanto, swiftly darting in a curved motion attempting to come around his target's back. His tanto was held in his left hand as his right held a seal, though not clear, it seemed that holding the seal made his speed increase just slightly. No matter how strong his initial attack, he still had to be careful of any traps or any ambush that his opponent might've planned. 'Lets hope that this guy goes down swiftly.......and that he has the scroll i need.'

Justicio saw the man and watched him the entire way to his own person. Not moving a muscle until the other began to walk along the sand at him and then began to increase his speed and then began to run at him. This was basically the situation Justicio had foreseen for the beginning of the exams here. His own boat was in perfect condition so if an earth scroll didn't jump him...He would be able to get to the other volcano-ish place and take one from there.

As the man approached with a kunai in his left and right hand Justicio still remained perfectly still. Only moving once the first motion of combat was made when the man put his foot down about four feet from his own person and cocked back to throw or at least as if he was going to throw his kunai. Justicio would now have the clear advantage. Drawing both blades simultaneously while still in his sitting position the kunai was then thrown. The attack was then countered by the act of the drawn blades lining up straight vertically and then pushing to the side catching some part of the kunai before it was too close to be reflected in such a matter. Likely the tip though Justicio's eyes were not trained well enough to see as a genin rank ninja which part his blades connected with though the ring of metal vs metal was as clear as the man's next attack.

A tanto while short was sturdy and based in a high level of skilled attack and used in a very high discipline. As the attack came around carried by the man's momentum Justicio used his sitting position to his advantage rolling forward until he was upside down and sideways, due to the angle of his roll, and his katana's sheath, the both of them, lay behind him in the air for the moment thanks to Justicio disturbing their sitting buildup of potential energy. The momentarily floating sheath would be enough to prevent the strike from following through to his body as he continued his roll yet at the same time not enough to keep the sheath from breaking forcing the Tanto to be stuck in the hard wood of the sheath of Justicio's blade thus rendering the weapon more likely than not useless.

Now came Justicio's play of the best part of this game. Dashing upwards as his roll landed him rightside almost instantly after he began it he thought One remembering his training exercises with that damned Uchiha. Justicio lunged up both swords crossed aiming for the other competitors neck. Two Justicio continued the movement though recoiling in a roll to the side his two swords coming together and his hands beginning to interlock whilst holding the blades doing handseals. Three The sand was then instantly covered in front of him and continued to be covered with a gooey watery mess that poured like vomit from Justicio's mouth in the general area where his opponent stood. Four Justicio straightened his arms in an overly zealous way unleashing from their bowels the trap which he had laid for his first round of combat. Rather unleashing the right arm's laid trap from the temple in the form of a projectile weapon.

Nishi smirked it seemed that his opponent had underestimated the fact that he had already laid out a sneak attack in advance and a suprise was tagging along with the kunai. The kunai were wrapped in explosive tags, both being wrapped made it even more trouble for the young genin who seemed to think that Nishi wasn't the type of guy to flip the script on how things were going. Nevertheless, it would either spell the end for the other guy or the guy would be seriously wounded, the moment the katana and the kunai met and touched, both kunai would explode. The area of effect would've been doubled as there were two kunai with explosive tags attached, this in addition to the fact that the opponent was still sitting made this all the better for him to take this down a notch.

To Nishi it was unclear whether his opponent would be dead from his attack or not, but one thing that was clear was that he wouldn't leave that encounter unscathed. But simultaneous to the explosion of the kunai, Nishi would've stopped to avoid the debris, as it was likely that the katanas of his opponent were gone, blown to peices if not just broken. Still, in regards to whether his opponent was dead or not, Nishi took no chances as he opened his mouth and released a bolt of lighting towards the area that the genin was last seen. 'Hmph.....don't fuck with mist ninja boy! We run shit in these here parts!' Nishi smirked, though he enjoyed the moment of victory he still kept his guard up as anyone could just come through and attack him while he was momentarily off guard. He waited patiently with his tanto held up to his chest with his knees bent and chakra being streamed through his feet.

Justicio had expected such trickery. Hence the jutsu being water based rather than being earth based. It served two purposes within the moment of creation. The first would be to blast a dense liquid onto the ground near the two of them and set up the field for the next scene of the fighting while second would be to create a defense for his head and torso and a backlash defense for his lower body. As the dense liquid exploded and the explosion began Justicio would have already begun his next movement moving himself forward and unleashing his trap which would inevitabely hit the undodging man who had assumed that Justicio had been killed by the explosion which would simply displace the incredible dense starchy material and blow it around. An advantage that would later play of Justicio's best interests.

As his hidden assault had been so carefully prepared back at the temple from his right arm shot a projectile weapon. Since the other had not dodged or blocked said attack it would lodge it's way into the other genin's neck somewhere around the throat. Being a genin of course the attack would not have PERFECT aim but it would still connect since the target would be standing still. This would give Justicio his chance to use the smoke and blown around starch water for his advantage. So as he emerged and continued his movements his left handed Katana was seen moving from the right side of his opponent cutting at neck level which would already be injured. Meanwhile the switch that had been made in the smoke would continue to be useful as the right handed Katana which had already made a movement would come around in Justicio's left hand in a snapping motion and cause a solid straightforward unleashing of the trap in a similar form yet aiming lower while Justicio's second strike was a stab directly at the small weapon used by the opponent.

All the while Justicio kept a damage report from the actions in the battle. Firstly was that he had performed a snake handseal in the smoke. That would be crucial to the damage report being able to perform a handseal would be much more than enough for him to continue fighting. Meanwhile his teddy bear head seemed to have been ruffled a bit on both sides by the exploding tag kunai he had deflected with his katana though in the end the starchy water had protected him from it sending the waves of it everwyhere including at/ probably on his target. He was coming out on top of this first round of combat and all the while watching the reflection of his own personal Katana blade waiting for the right move biding in the smoke.

With extensive study, I see that this conflict begins when Nishi mentions his kunai being wrapped in Explosive Tags when I did not see this prepared in the previous post. If this was done in another topic, please link that to me, or quote the area of the post.

Though both of you provide a good written fight with plenty of reason to be able to dodge, it is also quite early and as I heard killing moves are to be stopped by NPC's because you are to fight to exhaustion or knock one another out. There is no death unless said otherwise by Devin himself.

Justicio, I also see that you mention preparing a water technique? Your main element is currently fire, so you cannot use a water technique until chunin since that is when you unlock your secondary element. This can lead to both attacks being voided.

Not quite sure being that it is fairly vague, but I did notice this when the battle first began, so final judgement isn't up to me.
Errr, for the whole Water Release thing, I knew about the rule but yeah that should voided being that we aren't allowed to even access our Secondary Element until we ourselves have become Chuunins.

Anyways, my final judgement would be:
Nishi - His paper bomb attack worked
Justicio - Voided due to using an element besides his Primary Element.

I'll leave final judgement up to a third member of staff.

Obvious the hit connects. It wont be enough to kill Justicio. But he will take heavy damage.

Nishi was blown back a bit from the shockwave of the explosion, luckily he shielded his vision with his right hand, still holding tight to his tanto with his left. Only for a short moment did he let down his guard. Still it seemed that his enemy took the 'L' on that one attack, and Nishi was no fool as he was sure to follow up with an attack that he was sure would hit. While the opponent was probably stunned from the attack with the explosive tags, he would take that opportunity to open his mouth wide and release a blast of lightning, a bolt that would separate into 3 different spear-like bolts to add a greater range to his attack while providing damage from multiple areas. Nishi's aim wasn't that bad and he was sure that he would be able to hit with his attack, however he was bleeding, it seemed that a peice of shrapnel debris had pierced his left flank. Thankfully it wasn't deep and as such it didn't hit a vital spot, but it did hurt like hell. Hopefully this attack would hit, otherwise he'd have to stay on his feet.
