Kaku stretched and slowly rose from his bed. He hadn’t slept well, his blanket was too thin to keep him warm and the bed was lumpy.
He groaned and walked outside. The sun had just finished kissing the hillside.
Yawning heavily he pondered on what he would do today.
He decided on start working on his first chakra gate release. Walking to the middle of the yard he began doing the morning fitness stretches. After he had completed them, he moved on to preparing his body for the stress the first gate would induce.
He started by a gentle jog around the village. This was necessary so that his body was warm and ready for the stress the first gate would place upon his mind and body.
Having prepared his body, he began to meditate on himself.
He let his mind wander around his body. Letting himself become aware of were he was universally. He felt himself breathing and concentred on that movement. He could feel the bones moving in sync. From the centre of his body he felt upwards until he as completely aware of how his body was working.
He felt the atoms in his body and continued his search until he could slightly feel the presence of something. This was Kaku’s first encounter with the Chakra Gates and he broke off the connection with them at once.
Once he had mastered himself once again he returned to searching his body for the Gates.
He let his mind wander around his body. Letting himself become aware of were he was universally. He felt himself breathing and concentred on that movement. He could feel the bones moving in sync. From the centre of his body he felt upwards until he as completely aware of how his body was working.
He felt the atoms in his body and continued his search until he could slightly feel the presence of the Gates again. He gently probed the entrance of the first one, located in his head. He could feel the others but he knew it would be folly to try to enter them now. He felt until he was accustomed to the Gates presence.
Letting go of the connection he was an uncomfortable procedure, having been connected to himself so intimately then letting go was like cutting off his own arm.
When he opened his eyes, it was nearly sundown. The shock of how long he had been out there, combined with how hungry he was enough to make him groan.
As he began to get up he fell down again from the amount of inactivity he had spent sitting here. Finding that it was impossible to stand he began to crawl towards his house.
The next day he returned to his spot on the grass an sat down in the same place he had before letting his mind wander again.
Letting himself become aware of were he was universally. He felt himself breathing and concentred on that movement. He could feel the bones moving in sync. From the centre of his body he felt upwards until he was completely aware of how his body was working.
He felt the atoms in his body and continued his search until he could slightly feel the presence of the 1st Gate, unlike the other times Kaku felt at home. Happy. In his mind he could see himself walking through the Gate.
An explosion of energy coursed through Kaku’s body, lighting ever nerve every cell on fire. Standing up, he felt more powerful than he ever had before.
But as he began to test his new found power, kick back of the power came into effect.
He was as weak as a new born baby lying on the grass. After a minute the effect began to subside, slowly he struggled to his feet.
