The day was long, and it had been a long ass time since he got a drink. His time as a ruroni was growing ever longer. It seemed that he would never reach his goal. He was wandering in the forest of the Otogakure for what seemed like years, though in fact it was only days. The stench of the animals such a burden to him. He started to smell the oh so sweet smell of Sake. He loved Sake, but not as much as he loved misery.
The man wandered around towards the smell of the Sake. The smell it's self was intoxicating. The aroma caressing his nostrils like some siren's voice to his ears. The male finally stumbled out of the woods to a rice farm, his left leg stepping in to the water of one of the farms. He sighed heavily at this and moved out of it, walking along the irrigation to a road.
Taking that road, he managed to walk a good mile to a small pub. He smiled greatly at the site of the pub, oh how much he loved to drink, that was the best thing about him, only one thing got him truly drunk, and it wasn't sake, wine, or anything in the vicinity where he was. He walked in, his black bag rustling on the door as he made his way to a chair at a lone table.
The man sat down and slung his bag over to land on the floor with a loud bang noise. The man looked about as he was being gawked at for a moment, when he nodded to the bartender he spoke aloud to him.
"Can I get some Sake on the rocks? Heh, I've been traveling for a LONG time."
After he spoke, the man sat there, putting his feet up. The straw hat on his head was then moved to his face to rest a tiny bit. He was almost asleep when he over heard a person speaking at the table next to him.
"Yo, did you hear about that sword? That Orochimaru had?!?!!? It's said to be unbreakable...and MYSTIC OR SOMETHING...the wielder...can hold it and make it fly about with out his HANDS...ISN'T THAT AWESOME!?!?!?!?! ITS ONLY AT HIS HIDEOUT, but you gotta fight what ever is still left at his hideout...I wonder if it's worth it.."
The guy said as the man's friend spoke up directly after.
"Yea but remember, everyone that goes there never comes back.."
The first man to speak up sighed and sat back down agreeing with the man. He seemed quite depressed and sad, though you wanted it badly, he wasn't able to get it. He was just a rice farmer, what would he be able to do to get it? Exactly, nothing.
Akutabi, the man that walked in with the silver coat downed his sake and stood up, walking over to the man.
"Tell me, where is this so called mystical sword?"
Aku asked the man. The man laughed a bit and looked at him. realizing he was being serious he quickly backed up out of his seat and spoke to him.
"You can't be for real, No one that ever went in there ever came out!!! But you want to know..it's east of here in an underground complex. The entrance is hidden in the forest. Just be careful and don't walk in head strong, you'll get killed...And if you do find it, promise me one thing...you'll come back and show us it? and if not, come back so we can PICK ON YOU HAHAHAHAHAH."
The man screamed at the end. Aku picked up his bag and headed towards the door. With a smile Aku agreed and walked out the door. He headed east, to the entrance, or at least to FIND it. The male walked forward a bit and stopped at the line of treeline. He sighed once more and headed in to the vast forest, maybe to never return.
Sighing once more, he found his way to a small nesting site of birds. Peering in, he smelled eggs, well baby birds with brothers. He knew that if he touched them, the mother bird would leave them and move on. So he decided against it.
Moving a few miles, though tired, he managed to happen upon a deer like animal. He found a stick and tried to sharpen it as fast as possible, however the deer got away with in moments of picking up the stick. With a sigh, he continued to make small spears as it were, or rather arrows.
Finding some larvae of worms, he used their silk to make a makeshift bow for his makeshift arrows. Finally, he found another deer, maybe even the same one, and aimed his bow at it, letting it fly, it made a slight whizzing sound and struck the deer in the heart area. It didn't drop, but it was bleeding enough to track it. The trail was long, to follow the deer like creature. These parts of the woods were always unexplored as far as he knew, so he didn't know WHAT he was going to find.
The male stopped a moment and kneeled down. Looking at some leaves he noticed some blood, but much more than before, but still not enough to show it was dead. It appeared that the blood was bleeding out a bit.
He followed the trail more to a small hut where he finally found the deer like creature dead. Sighing he walked up to it, speaking to it ever so gently.
"[color=olive]I'm sorry for taking your life. My brother, you are to be commended by your brothers in the right to passage. I apologize for a long and harsh death. You will never be forgotten, and may your god accept you into the afterlife, with a long and healthy afterlife as a gift for your time on this planet.[color=olive] male prayed to the god of the deer like creature. He sighed once more and took a nearby rock, using that to carve out a knife like object, he opened the intestines of the deer like creature. It was time to start the process of making a kill to food.
The male pulled out the intestines and laid them on the ground to the left. Taking the stomach out he laid that to the left. The heart and other innards such as lungs were laid out to where he was facing, above the corpse. He looked around and cleared a spot for a small fire. He aimed to make some stew as best he could, and some cooked meat as well.
The fire was finally started near dusk and the animal was finally gutted and skinned. He set the innards on a makeshift pot for later use. The carcase he divided up in to hunks of meat to cook. Finally making the meat he placed some aside in a container he made with leaves, string, and what was left of some innards he cooked and ate. With all of this, he placed this next to him as he sat against the small hut.
He didn't think to try the door to see if there was anything in there or not. There could have been food, or at least a bed. But he decided against it because no one lives out here, this far from the world. Then again he wished HE could. Finally the man fell asleep, covering himself with his coat and he faded fast.
The morning came and his food was still sitting next to him, it was most likely because of the fact the innards, some of it, was placed away so that the animals would eat that instead. He stood up, looking at the sky to see what time it was. Figuring it to be about seven he sighed and picked up his small makeshift food holder and his bag. Starting off he looked back at the remains of the animal. Sighing once more he just continued off, leaving the rest for the animals, making sure all of it would be used by something.
He started towards the east yet again, to find a way to the hideout. Though, he felt as though he wasn't even close. He staggered upon a small abandoned village deep in the forest. It must have been open and running before Orochimaru was in service, and after, it died out, and now, no one comes here and forgot about it.
Though it was a small village it's perfect for some rest, so he marked it as best he could and set out to find this hideout. Though he doubted he could even find it, he tried anyway. The time came though, where he found a clue as to where the base may be. The male looked about at the area and found nothing to avail, at this moment. However, something glistened at the right light, which caught his eye.
Walking to it, he pulled it out. It was an old headband of the sound. This was no doubt from a member that worked with Orochimaru. With a slight grin he realized he was getting close. Next he chose to keep going, head strong in to where he was going, hopefully it would lead him to the right fort, or hideout...thing.
Another day went by and he finished off the food he had made. He walked a bit and suddenly fell down a small hole. This hole was big enough to catch his foot a tiny bit and send him falling to the ground. Where, indecently he looked to his right and found a large hole covered with leaves. This left him to realize there was stairs there as well. Standing up straight he gazed at the leaves, wondering if it was what he really wanted to do. Perhaps he wanted to back away now? no, he must, he HAS to push forward, why? so he can get that all mighty sword and finally put a partial end to this odd way he was feeling. He HAD to do it, for that Rice Farmer.
The man stepped forward and tried to clear the way of leaves. However, as soon as he stepped forward, he stepped in to something that snagged his foot. Looking down he noted that he stepped in to a pile of bones from an earlier attempt at the sword. He sighed and spoke lightly to himself.
"So, this is what I have to look forward to? someone stepping on my bones? What a relief, and here I thought I was going to have a real burial and be safe six feet under...pfft as if."
He muttered as he walked in. and moved some leaves around. Finally he happened upon a lightly lit door. Trying it, he managed to open it slightly. With out warning though, the door shut and something odd was seen in the distance. Akutabi sighed and spoke to it, noting it may be hostile.
"Hello? I'm here to see if anyone needs help. I heard this place was abandoned so..Just wanted to-"
He was cut off before he could finish by a large animal like creature. It beard down towards his neck and tried to kill him by biting his neck's artery. Of course with quick movement he placed the bag between him and the best. With a large heave, he punched the creature in the jaw with his right hand, a long hook sent it flying towards the left. Moving as swiftly as possible, he took out his large sword from the bag and he stood there, his right hand on the hilt, the blade aimed at the beast, and his body turned slightly to the left.
The beast came charging after him, his hand clenched tight on the hilt. His left hand let the bag go and pulled a small choke. The revving sound of an engine roared as he smiled a bit.
"So this is how it's gotta be huh? well, let's tango..."
He said as he aimed a slash across the beast's chest. However, the beast was faster than him, and leaped to the right. The male, Aku, turned to the right and aimed another slash but it was too late, he had already been pushed away from a large best hand claw thing. Sliding on the floor with his side, he finally stopped as the beast aimed a jump and land on him, of course this failed as he rolled away to the left and jumped to his feat. Finally, he had enough of this.
Aku stepped back slightly and placed his left hand in a tiger formation. He let his sword drop to the floor, still running. As it slowly crawled away from him, he used his other hand and pointed his palm at the creature. Yelling out, the shadows around the creature whirled to his location, because of the bare lighting, there was enough light to cast darkness all over the place, and shadows to boot. The shadow wrapped around the creature's feet. He closed the palm of his hand as the shadows engulfed him, strangling and tied him down. The creature lost consciousness, which was perfect for Aku. He left the jutsu release and walk over to him, picking up the sword as he did.
The man spoke softly as the creature was out.
"Forgive me creature of unknown orrigin. I hope your god allows you to move freely on to the next world. For it would be a shame for you not to. May your afterlife be filled with happieness and love, forgive me."
He said as his blade came crashing down on the male's skull. The chain like blade tearing apart the best's skull as if it were paper. Blood splattered almost everywhere and left a huge mess. Finally, it was over and he let the sword stop moving. Stepping back a bit, he plopped down on the floor and started to clean his blade. The blood from the best covered the teeth and chain, as well as some of his clothes. The man sighed heavily as he spoke.
"I JUST cleaned this thing too."
With that said, and the blade clean, he picked up the bag and slung it over his left shoulder, leaving the hilt in his right hand and walking further in to the hideout. Coming to another door he wondered if it was worth opening it, Attempting it, he found it to be locked. Though, it wasn't surprising, he decided to make his way to the deepest part of the hideout, for that was where the sword was bound to be, deep with in the bowels of the construct.
The hallways were deep and dark. Though it seemed as though there was more dusty locked doors than anything. He finally came to a large room with locked cells. This was something new, or so he thought. Finally he realized what it was. It was a room where he most likely would have kept animals, or experiments. Lucky for him there weren't any, right?
Just then, something happened and eight bests appeared from what seemed like nowhere. The cells all open and teeming with life, it seemed. The man looked around and let his bag fall to the ground. With that, he pulled the choke on the sword. This didn't frighten them though, and that was slightly bad for Akutabi.
They all charged in at once, this gave him the opportunity to move quickly upwards, stepping on one of the creature's head to send him a little further in the air. This caused them to strike and fall in to a large pile. He sighed and dropped his sword. As it began slinking away from him he moved his hands as fast as he could to let loose a move, he spoke out under his breath. Finally, after moving his hands as fast as he could, he formed what Shinobi know as a seal. This started to make things interesting though. The monsters had gotten up and charged at him. Finally they were with in range of his move and he caught them with a shadow manipulation.
He then stood up and started to count the beasts. one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Seven beasts were counted. He smiled slightly but then realized there was one missing. However, by the time he realized it, the beast had struck him in the left cheek, sending him flying once more. This time, the jutsu was interrupted but still sent the other monsters flying, and he was away from his sword. He had to do these all by hand.
Setting his hands in his usual Taijutsu attack form, he aimed his right hand towards the beast and his left just like it, but opposite. When he was done he looked like someone trying to preform a Kamehameha or something. Finally, he just waited for the bests to come. The one that struck the hit on him was sent flying as he struck him in the face with a hard right hook to the jaw, however this left him open for another punch to the face which sent him flying once more. All the beasts gathered around him, seven of them anyway, the eighth stood tall in the center of the circle with Aku in the center as well. It was a pack type fight now, he would have to fight them all one on one, one after another. It was a fight to the death as well. The one that first struck him was up.
Putting his fist to the beast's face he whaled on him as hard as he could. This made the beast's nose bleed and his eyes start to water a little. The creature charged back at him with no mercy and aimed a right hook, how predictable. Beasts were always predictable, for the most part. He moved his left hand to grab the beast's hand, and his right to hold his other as it came in for a second attack. This left his legs open, he leaped up and kicked it in the face three times in a row, sending it to the floor and out colt. The next was up, he charged in and landed on the male's back.
With a mighty move he jumped up and landed on his back, trying to get it off. It worked for a moment, and he was given a reprieve. Though only for a moment. He was able to muster a small fighting stance, and aimed to take out three at once, this was from a large punch to knock him in to others, though it may not work of course, and with his luck it wouldn't. He aimed the punch for the beast's chest, sending it hoping in the air a good foot before crashing down on the floor holding it's stomach area.
finally they had enough of this, so they sent in two at once. The two aimed a punch from each side, Aku aimed a kick to one's chest and a right punch to the others chest. The right punch sent the creature backwards a little while the kick made it catch his foot. It wasn't that good of a kick anyway, it was with his left leg. He was then lifted in the air where he managed to kick the creature in the face with his free leg, his right leg. This sent the beast stumbling backwards a bit. As they were like that, he ran to one and jumped on it's shoulders. Kicking it in the face and nearly snapping its neck, he jumped off of it and came down with a large right hook to the other beast's head. This force sent his fist through the being's skull partially and killed him. That left four. They all decided to gang up on him as well.
This wasn't good at all. He preformed, to the best of his ability, a sweep with his right foot, sliding with his left. He was able to knock them down for a moment only for them to punch him all at the same time in the gut. This was bad. This made him stumble a bit and cause him to become stunned. Though he was hit by stronger, he was still stunned because of the shear force. He looked down and noticed his sword at his feet, still slinking away from him. He picked it up and held it tight in his right hand.
"Alright you bastards, let's get this ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He yelled the last part as he charged the beasts. The man aimed a slash at one of the creatures, it connected but caused another beast to be able to catch him and punch him in the side. Though it was his right side, he was harmed a little. Though the beast was hurting worse because of where he struck. Finally, it become fed up with this and tried again. To no avail.
As this was happening, the other two beasts aimed a punch for his face and chest respectively. This sent him flying backwards as he attempted to block the one to his face, and succeed. His feet skidded on the floor, though now he was away from his sword once more, he was down to three beasts, and one was harmed.
The three aimed an attack at the same time, all from forward, left, and right. Then, he stepped back at the last second and let them collide. This was enough to make the injured one stop fighting. Since he was down to just two now, he was able to Strike it in the face, and send one sliding to the other. With a precise hit, he could end this, and he had to think fast. The beasts were coming in one after another, trying to stress the male's mind which was amazing for beasts.
The creatues seemed to become smarter now, and learn from their mistakes. They started to play unfair now, however. And the lighting was less than ideal for his jutsus. If he could get it down to one, he could use a hard jutsu and kill one of them on the spot. He thought a moment and nodded. Kicking off of one, he landed on the other, where he flipped off of it and landed next to his sword. Grabbing it, he spun around and aimed a stab to it's chest, from there he jumped up and planted his feet on it's chest while it was still upright. Jumping off he pulled the blade out and switched it off, after, he kicked the other creature sending it away slightly. He had one shot to do this, so he tried it fast.
He grabbed a flash bomb from his belt and tossed it behind him. Putting his left hand in a tiger formation he dropped the sword and placed his right hand with palm open towards the creature. Sighing and saying he was sorry, the bomb went off, creating a large shadow under him, then, the hand closed as his hand closed, making the creature die from the constriction of his shadows. Letting his hands down, the fight was almost over. The rest writhing in pain he wondered if he could just leave them be. Perhaps they wouldn't try and fight again? He thought this, so he did leave them be, and on he went further in to the construct, hoping to find this fabled sword.
Finally reaching the halfway point, he stopped a moment and looked around. This place seemed alright. There weren't any harmful beasts here. This was perfect and so he did just that, rested. Letting his hands fall, he remembered his sword was rather bloody. He sighed and started to clean the somewhat dried blood. If he let it dry too much it would stain the perfect silver coating. Finally getting it cleaned, not quite to par with when it was when he brought it here, he was still able to show it was a nice object.
Finally he laid to rest in a small room off from the larger one, this had a bed and a desk, as well as a lamp. And to boot, it had a lock on it as well. Keeping the sword next to him resting on the desk, he got cozy in the bed, letting himself just drift away to sleep another dream, even though it was bad for him to do this. Enemy territory was bad for sleeping, but would that stop a wanderer? NAH, not even close.
The male finally woke up and realized that he was in the midsts of enemy territory. This wasn't good. Perhaps it was time to move about and find the room or chest or what ever, with the sword in it. He should be rather easy to find right? Yea, of course. Most people keep things that important in the bowels of the complex. DER. He grabbed his blade and the bag, heading out the door he sighed yet again and started his search, yet again.
Finally reaching the last door of the complex he looked around. It was a small room, with large lights and an even larger statue like thing. He looked to his left and then to his right. Seeing no one around he walked forward to the door. Keeping his right hand clenched on the hilt, he tried to open the door. Realizing this door wouldn't budge as it was locked he sighed and started to walk away. All for naught huh? well that just sucks.
Suddenly and out of nowhere a large boom was heard. The being making this noise was unseen from Aku's point of view. What he didn't' realize was that the statue, was moving, well OK not really, but it was BEHIND the statue. The loud booming and banging was from the creature behind the statue of Orochimaru. The beast showed it's head to him, and oh was it large. It must have stood a good nineteen feet tall. This meant it was time something was done, for it was HUGE!!!
The man stumbled back as it began to move again. The man gazed at the large being and wondered, would this even be possible at all to kill? well, then again, every creature HAS a weakness. Perhaps god would come down and smite the very existence of the being as simple as on request. Well, that wouldn't be god but just Dandy, if it happened of course. He started to think and found a solution to try. Waking it on the head. This was perfect for his idea, but how to get the head down here. Perhaps it was time to use those explosive tags he had..that's right, he had explosive tags he forgot about.
Moving himself to position at its feet, he placed two tags on it's left foot. This was enough explosive force to tear it's foot off, not cleanly, but still tear it off. Running like hell away from them, he put his hand in a tiger formation, and detonated them. Being as they were on the same foot, it made the foot get torn in to, half of the foot was connected, while the other half wasn't. This allowed him to make a move, however, it was started to regenerate, and that meant there was only one way to kill it.
The man stopped a moment and sighed as he aimed his sword towards it's face, runnning towards it, he let his blade off to the right side, as he pulled the choke. The male jumped on to the being's legs and started to run up them to his face. Though it was easier said than done, he managed to reach it's eyes. Where he drove his blade deep in to it's eyes. Trying to fight it was hard, specially since it grew things back. The only way was to tear it's head off and burn it's neck. And that's what he was going to try. Next, he pulled the blade out, teeth still chomping away at it, and fell towards his neck. Aiming to slice off it's neck, Aku tried with all his might to do this. Though he didn't have fire anywhere except for the one aspect, the lights. He was able to slice through it's neck only half way before it started to regenerate.
This wasn't good. He had to think of a way to slice it's neck off in one fowl swoop and be able to burn it. This was going to be difficult, but still he had to do it. He ran from it, aiming to run to the exit, but he got as far as the first door to where he made the turn to the last hallway and was flung backwards. This was it, he HAD to tear off that neck somehow. He thought a moment and realized something. Taking one light he dowsed it, causing more of a shadow to appear, then, he let his blade fall to the floor as it started to crawl away from him once again, he moved his hands to form what is known as a seal. This allowed him to bind his opponent in an imitation tech, however, he was too strong to be imitating, so instead, he was just bound.
Aku smiled a tiny bit and walked a little closer. Now that he was bound, he was able to do another jutsu. He preform three seals, this allowed his shadow to crawl up the giant's body and start to strangle it at the neck. Though he was almost out of time by now, if he didn't at least make it pass out, he would be done for. But lickly it did just that, It tried to grab for it's neck and fall to the ground, knees first, then body. Luckily Aku was off to the side when he fell, or he would have been mince meat. After that, he picked up his blade and walked over to the neck area, Giving it one good plunge, he sliced the creature's neck off, not so cleanly. Then, he grabbed the torch off to the side giving light to the place and burned it's neck so it wasn't able to regenerate anymore. That was the end of that, and now, he was able to try and open the door, to no avail.
He was missing something, but what was it? What was it that locked doors needed to become unlocked. It was almost like a small object that could fit in to certain holes with special notches in it that only the object would fit. OH, RIGHT, a key. He was missing the key. He looked around for the key and didn't notice one. However, he did have to search all the dead bodies around here. Making his way back to the beginning of his quest, he just said screw it, and look from beginning to end.
He finally reached the beginning of his quest, the entrance of the building. Walking out he stepped on the skeleton once again. Not noticing the golden key, he walked forward back in to the hideout, ready to search ever last body there was for a freaking key he didn't even know WHERE it could have been. This sort of pissed him off a bit.
Working his way to the first being he killed, he laid his hand on the chest of it, starting his search. He moved his hand about, checking the being for any object that could resemble a key, but nothing. Perhaps it was in one of the eight he fought before? perhaps, let's try. Reaching the beings he checked THEM as well. As he started on the first dead one, he heard a small rustling sound, it made him slightly edgy as he knew he didn't kill some of them, but he figured they were injured enough to not try and kill him. Could he have thought wrong? Once that failed beyond all reason, he checked the rest of the eight, to no avail of course. Finally giving up, he walked to the final creature. Checking him once more he thought he would find a key, but of course he did not.
There was only one place he didn't check, and it was going to really make him mad if that was the place where it was, so he went BACK to the entrance of the hideout. He stopped just outside and stepped on the skeleton YET again. This time he looked down and saw a tiny sparkling gold thing. Picking it up, he left it in his hand a moment, and examined it. It was a key like object with a snake's head on it. He nodded and then walked towards the BACK of the hideout ONCE again. The ever so slow hallways making his live ever so SLOWER. it was more tedious now though, almost as if god was trying to smite him, but that wouldn't be Dandy OR fine, that would just piss him off. But then again God always had a way with everything, but again, that was Dandy too. Finally reaching the back, he placed the key in the lock, turning it.
He walked in to the room, the light glowing from the pedestal. The sword was sitting on it, and oh it looked amazing. The sword had green objects on it that seemed like they were gems. The hilt was creme color while the blade was silver. Oh how good it seemed, it was indeed a beauty from his point of view. Sitting down he started to clean his sword, after turning it off of course. It took a good few moments, but he cleaned it best as he could with out taking it to a shop to be cleaned specially. He stood up, and placed the sword in his bag. Then, he took hold of the Kusanagi. The weight of it feeling as though it was lighter than any other sword he held. The feel of the hilt sending chills down his spine. Of course, it was indeed the best sword to have ever been created, or so it seemed for Aku. The rise and fall of many a men, mainly Orochimaru, was seen by this sword. Indeed it was a burden to bear. And AKu was willing to bear it. Placing it in a small box he found next to it, he tucked it under his arm and walked out of the room, locking the door behind him.
Taking the blade with him and the key, he walked to the entrance of the hideout. Making way to the small village, he stopped a moment though, and placed the key back where it was. Then, continuing onwards to his small hideout. Once there, he sat down in front of a hut and gazed at the sky. It was nearly nightfall. His quest for the mystical sword was almost complete. He just needed to do one more thing.
The day passed, and he stood up, looking around. Picking up his things, he walked back to the place where he started, the rice fields of Otogakure. Passing the lone cabin once again, he noticed the carcase was picked dry, only bone remained, and that made him smile slightly. What was REALLY going to make him smile, was when he got back and showed the sword to the Rice farmers.
Reaching the treeline he walked out slowly. The man smiled as he made way to the pub once more. It was about time he had a drink anyway, I mean it WAS over a few days since he last had one. Perhaps it was best to get a drink for the road. Walking in he placed box on the same table he was at before, and letting the bag fall to the floor making the clunk sound. He smiled at the Rice Farmers to his left, the some ones that made a bit of fun at him. Nodding to the bartender for the same drink he had before, he stood up, and walked the box over to them. Placing it on the table he smiled and just stood there.
The Farmers laughed and thought he was playing around, but he wasn't. Opening the box, he reveled the sword in it's small habitat. It's little box with velvet interior. Indeed a box fit for a myth right? well, it wasn't a myth anymore now was it? nah, it was true fact, and it was all thanks to the one person who made it all possible, that's right...God, but that's just Dandy....
