It was a warm summer night and a lone shinobi and samurai walked away from a village that had been set on fire. Smoke filled the air, the screams still echoing in the distance as he walked calmly away from the village he had just single handedly destroyed out of complete boredom. He had hoped to maybe find someone in the village who would prove to be at least slightly entertaining and a challenge, but of course with no actual shinobi in that peaceful village his luck was of a bad variety that day. As we walked through the beautiful pasture of orange and purple flowers, the clouds above him began to cover the sky as what seemed to be a rainstorm approaching. The light began to fade from the day and the day turned into sunset illuminating the entire pasture in an orange hue. It was a truly beautiful sight and for even someone with no real emotions like Saitou, he had to pause and look into the sky.
The wind began to pick up blowing his purple hair wrapped up into a ponytail off of his shoulder. His cold blue eyes looked up into the sky for minutes on end without him moving and anyone who may or may not have seen him at that point would have to wonder what was going on in this man's mind. In this state, this place, this scene, this moment he looked....so peaceful. As if he was just a man looking for the place he really belonged. His peacefulness was interrupted as a rock came flying right at his head and connected, bringing him back to the present. He turned to face the direction the rock came from which was the village that he had just destroyed. Standing in front of him was a young girl, no more than 5 years old with her clothes covered in blood and ash. Tears filled her eyes and her face with rage while her mouth screamed at him with the hate only someone in intense pain could convey.
"WHY....why did you have to come here?! you killed everyone! My friends, my family my neighbors.......I HATE YOU!"
The girl picked up another rock and through it at Saitou, this time missing and the pebble flying past his right shoulder. This girl must have been the only one who he didn't kill in the village so she was probably hiding during the massacre watching everyone else die. What a sad existence this girl would have if she were to be allowed to live now. He could simply kill her now and end her pain, but what would she learn from this? What exactly would Saitou gain from killing this girl other than the satisfaction of hearing her screams of agony and pleading for her life? If he really wanted to leave a mark here, he knew exactly what to do. He smiled at the girl and spoke calmly.
"Tell me girl, where were you while all this killing was going on hmm? I made sure to kill everyone in site and it seems like you saw me do it so why did you simply hide and watch all your friends and family be murdered? Do you think they would have done the same to you hmm? Watch you die and hide in fear? Maybe rather than be so angry with me for killing them, you should look at yourself and hate your own weakness and inability to stop me. You are nothing, but a sad pathetic little girl who watch everyone she cared about die and then in an attempt to make yourself feel like you did something you came here to stand before me NOW after everyone is dead."
The face the girl made next was exactly what he was looking for. She went from angry and sad to the look that every human gets on their face when all their hopes ad beliefs have been taken from them. The look when you realize you have nothing left to live for and death is the only salvation you can see in your future. Young as she was, even she was able to make this face and it brought Saitou an unmeasurable amount of joy to see that look on her face. She dropped to to little knees her eyes still on Saitou, but it was apparent she was no longer really looking at him. Her soul had already left her when Saitou spoke his words. In response the sadistic Kaguya clan member simply pointed his index finger at the girls forehead as a small bone edged out from the tip. In an instant the bone shot from his finger and straight through the girl's forehead killing her instantly. The bone went through her skull and embedded itself in the ground behind her as he body fell to the left. Saitou turned and looked back the orange sky and sighed heavily.
"That was fun."
As Saitou stared into the sky once more, drearily wondering what he would do for the rest of this unsettling night he began to hear the soft pitter patter of footsteps coming. At first he thought that the footsteps were probably another villager who he had mistakenly left behind and was going to attempt to try and avenge her fallen comrades. As he listened on though he noticed that the footsteps seemed a lot more...deliberate. They were not just the footsteps of someone walking or running. They sounds...quiet. They sounded like someone how was trying to hide their footsteps. A shinobi no doubt. Whoever it was was definitely no ametuer as the foot steps were extremely quiet and if Saitou had not been completely silent and focused he probably wouldn't have heard them. As he stood waiting, he attempted to discern where the footsteps were coming from. They were definitely coming from his back....no surprise there, but pegging the distance was pretty much all but impossible. His body began to tense up as he prepared for an attack. he could sense that whoever was coming was about to make their move...NOW.
In just that quick moment a man with long white hair appeared behind Saitou swinging a large while object in a downward slash attempting to cut Saitou from his left shoulder and down through his right side. Just as the man appeared Saitou spun around and drew his kodachi from its sheath blocking the man's slash. The man however seemed to expect this attack and his left foot was already posed to kick Saitou in the ribs. Unfortunately for the young Kaguya he didn't expect his opponent to move so quickly and he didn't have time to block the lung kick that sent him flying to the left. his body sailed through the air, but he was able to quickly recover and land on his feet with the help of a few back flips. He looked up to see who his attacker was since in the initial attack he was only able to catch a few non detailed characteristic about the man.
In just a more focused look, Saitou could instantly tell that his opponent was a Kaguya. No, it wasn't from the ridiculously large bone protruding from his right hand, but more just the general look that he had about him. He had long white hair, and the two red dots that all Kaguya had. More importantly about the man though was the look in his eyes. he had that same look that almost all Kaguya had....the thirst for battle and blood. it was a look that Saitou himself had had many times through his life. It was a look that in staring at the man it almost reverted Saitou to his younger days. He felt like a child looking at this man. He quickly knew who this man really reminded him of. His father. He had always been such an opposing figure in Saitou's life and it was because of his father that Saitou was who he was today. A cold emotionless killer who tried to follow the code of the samurai, but always found that following it too closely was boring and that he needed to kill. But Saitou was much more than that now.
Despite being mostly psychotic and sadistic, Saitou has a very good head on his shoulders. He in no way would be capable of leading a team, but he is a good enough tactician to the point where he can usually discern his opponents strengths and weaknesses rather quickly and can adapt his fighting style to compliment a partner or to make his opponent become off balanced. His fighting style is what some would say unpredictable because it seems erratic and flurried, but in reality he plans things out completely in his head and then goes on to test out these plans and theories. Sometimes they work and sometimes they do not. He learned this because his father always stressed the importance of being able to read your opponent while always making sure that they would not be able to read your movement. In reading his opponents Saitou was able to almost always gain the upper hand in a taijutsu fight, but ninjutsu which was not his strong point he often had to compromise and come up with something completely different. When up against a ninjutsu user, Saitou's best tactic was to simply rush in and attack with speed before his opponent could even attempt to make hand signs. Of course this didn't always work and his second choice was to always simply back away and let his opponent run out of chakra after using a long string of Ninjutsu and then move in for the kill why they were tired.
Due to his childhood and how he was raised, Saitou also feels virtually no pain which is both good and bad. It allows him to fight on even after taking a large amount of damage, but because he cannot feel the pain he can often go far beyond his body's limit and end up becoming incapacitated suddenly. To combat this, he trains often which involves damaging himself and testing how much blood he can lose and/or how much damage he can take before passing out. This training increases his limit, but also makes him more and more immune to pain making it a double edged sword. This type of training though was not something that Saitou himself instilled in himself. It was once again his father. Yea his dad was a pretty big asshole for the most part, but when it came to being a fighter his father was definitely very good at that. Even though he only taught Saitou all of these things in order to use him as a weapon to get what he wanted. In the end it all paid off because it allowed Saitou to be the man he is today.
Depending on who you ask, some may say that Saitou Hajime is a complete crazy, rash, sadistic, killing machine. To others he is just a quiet man who follows orders and enjoys a good fight. The truth is, he is a mix of both. He was raised to be a killing machine and he has fulfilled that requirement complete. He is completely emotionless and actually enjoyed taking lives of those weaker than he is. He was trained to be an assassin and as such he is the kind of man who follows the orders of those he considers to be superior to him, but that doesn't necessarily mean by rank. There is only one man who's orders Saitou will follow without questions and that is his partner Nanashi. To Saitou Nanashi's word is final and he is the only person that he is willing to give his life for. At the same time he plans on eventually fighting and either killing or being killed by his partner.
There was never once a time where Saitou remembers to be peaceful. Instead, it was always blood that surrounds him. From a young age his birth claimed his first kill, as Saitou is often reminded, is his mother. The father often treated Saitou poorly for his beautiful wife whom he regards as a good lover and a great bearer of children, to have succumbed to death due to Saitou having unleashed a spike inside of his mum that killed her. His cries that he was alive was met with a swift spank to the face that would keep him in line. And from the age of a day old, he would learn to respect the backhand of his father. Groomed to be the perfect heir to make up for his mother's death, not a moment wasted on relaxation as he was beaten often when he was caught in the middle of his stealth training in stealing things. Not for stealing albeit for being caught in the first place.
For him to cry out was met with a harsh lash to the back, to even show a sign of pain was met with an extra lash. Much to the point that he had learnt to control it from an early childhood. Savage as the Kirigakure he grew up in that he had earned his name of Bloody ninja as befitting as that of the Bloody Mist. Slaughtering mercilessly a group of Genin protesters on the order of his fathers for they had demanded that killing should not be a part of training. Bafflingly, he wasn't at all disturbed by how he had snuffed out the lives of those whom he had known as neighbors, or the neighbor's kids. He was desensitized to it. That's how he was groomed -- to be a killer with no remorse, not a single emotion of regret, only the terrible feeling of satisfaction from how easily he had snuffed life out with a few well placed hits.
His father finally saw that his son had earned his place in Kirigakure, that his mother's death was repayed, so much as to ask the Mizukage to promote Saitou to a Genin as he placed him as a partner to a masked Kaguya Chuunin when Saitou was 8. Often they had done missions as his partner clearly shown signs of insanity, not even acknowledging the kills he had made, yet preached to Saitou the need to leave a weak village such as Kirigakure which had Saitou become attracted to the idea.Intentionally letting the boy in the plans to get 'captured' by Kumogakure as he had learnt an arrangement was in place, so much as to pretend to be an unwilling prisoner as per the defection that was meant to be made. A betrayal that Saitou hadn't shown much signs as if it were a real one. Defection arranged on a botched prisoner exchange where Kirigakure hadn't gotten their prisoner, instead, Kumogakure had two recruits, and had freed one of their captive spies.
That was when Saitou had joined Kumogakure alongside the other Kaguya, bringing experience of evil bloodshed on his side after years of service alongside Nanashi as he'd call himself, in missions that were brutal and bloody. Honing his skills as the perfect assassin, that so much as there was never a day where Saitou hadn't reflected upon how to kill a person much quicker. To be in constant battle had toughened the Kaguya to have a steel resolve and a potent masquerade that he wishes to play into.Aye, he was a Genin and an equal now with his Chuunin-now-Genin partner, to whom the two had worked for Kumogakure under suspicion due to the circumstances of them joining the village, showing questionable activities in their time spent that often Saitou justifies as training for future assignments as a potential killer for the Cloud village. An assassin to which they perhaps had bargained far too much for and hadn't expected = the perfect killer.
Moving on from Saitou's creepr, crazy, and funny yet shockingly helpful despite not being what he wanted it to be childhood we return back the present day. Where Saitou was staring at a man who reminded him of the one person he has wanted to kill his entire life. Someone who he thought he had finally goten rid of. No of course they were not the same person, hell they didn't even look similar, but it was the look in his eyes that was slowly but surely turning Saitou into the sadistic killer he loves to be. The man didn't make any more movements at this point but simply took pleasure in watching Saitou transform in a way. He only smiled his evil devilish grin at teh young Kaguya and hoped that he would be able to put up a good fight. He didn't come here to just toy with the boy although it was amazingly fun. He was sent to get the boy to finally reach his full potential as a Kaguya. It was a mission the boys father had given him before the boy was even born. Now was the only chance this man would have to teach young Saitou all he knew because he would be dying soon. He was fuckin old man! His bones were strong and all but his mind was giving out on him. He wanted to just simply go and die in peace and in order to do so he had to complete this one last mission. Finally the man spoke.
"So tell me.....Saitou Hajime correct? Do you even know what your full potential is? Right now you are so disgustingly weak it makes me want to puke. After all the hard work your father put you through in order to make you the strongest Kaguya that ever lived and this is what you've turned out to be? Some pathetic killing machine who claims to be a samurai huh? And who the fuck is this Nanashi person who you so readily bow down to? Are you some kind of Kaguya bitch now? Your father would be so disappointed in you. That is why I've finally come to rid the world of you. To take out the trash and get rid of another piece of shit shinobi. To be honest I think I'll enjoy this much more than I should. I mean I am your uncle and that should make me at least somewhat attached to you right? Shouldn't I at least feel something for you?" Saitou replied in a heartbeat without flinching and seemed to actually enjoy finding out who the man was.
"Ah. So just as I expected you are someone that my father sent for me. I'm guessing this is some stupid training that he wants me to do in order to become even stronger. Well, for once I think I'll actually enjoy one his trainings. Know why? Because all I have to do is simply kill you then this will be fun. I warn you though, just because you told me you are my uncle you shouldn't expect me to go any easier on you. If anything you should expect to be put in the worst pain you have ever felt. I will torture you to no end and I am going to enjoy every single bit of it. And while I watch you slowly bleed out like the pathetic excuse for a Kaguya you are, I will have a smile on my face. It will be the last thing you see and then you can go to hell where my "father" is and tell him what the last thing you saw was." The moment he finished speaking, Saitou charged full speed at the man, appearing in front of him in the blink of an eye. His personal training with the body flicker technique allowed him to move at amazingly fast speeds and in this fight he was going to use that to his advantage.
His kodachi already drawn Saitou slashed and stabbed at his opponent in rapid succession. His movements were so fast he wondering is his opponent would even know what was happened. His grin grew wider and wider as he continued to slash at his opponent, but almost as fast as it came it disappeared. He quickly realized that he should have even had to slash at his opponent this much....his uncle was dodging each of his attacks effortlessly and grinning as he did so. Each one of his sword lunges were dodged as if he was just moving around for fun. He never even moved his feet and actually dodge by simply moving his upper half. The cockiness! To think that his uncle would able to move so quickly and so easily really caught the young Kaguya off guard, but what got him the most was what his uncle did next. In one swift motion he reached up with his right hand and grabbed Saitou;s swinging Kodachi mid slash catching it in front his face. Saitou was so surprised at that movement that he didn't even attempt to avoid his uncles attack and was kicked right in the stomach and sent flying backward landing on his back. Before he could even realize what had just happened his uncles body was above his with his palm only a few inches above Saitou's.
The purple haired shinobi instantly knew what was coming next and quickly rolled to his right as a bone exteneded from his uncles palm and stabbed the ground where Saitou;s face had just been. The Kaguya jumped up quickly and retreated which was nothing something that Saitou did often, but he was quickly realizing that his uncle was no joke. For the first time in a very long time Saitou was worried that he may not be able to win this fight and knowing that this was just another of his fathers stupid tests infuriated the young Kaguya. He hated the fact that his father sent this man and that this guy was on a level of strength and speed Hajime kun had never experienced before. His uncle on the other hand seemed to have expected that Saitou was only going to be on this level. It was as if he was mocking him, toying with and trying to get him to fiht harder. It was pissing him off more and more and usually Saitou was a very calm and relaxed individual. He had to calm down. He need to start thinking straight so that he could come up with a plan of attack.
So what he knew about the man was that he was related to his father and apparently good friends with him. He also knew that he is completely aware of the training that Saitou has had in his life and that means he probably knows what style of fighting the young Kaguya will use. That explains why he was so easily able to counter and dodge his first attack. If he had any hope of beating this man he was going to have change his fighting style up a bit. Luckily after being a shinobi in a village and actually having to go on missions and learn new techniques, the young Kaguya might has something up his sleeve that will be able to catch the old man off his guard. Though he was indeed proficient enough at using ninjutsu he much preferred taijutsu because it was more in your face and hands on. All it would take was 3 quick hand signs to turn the battle in his favor he hoped. Ram → Dog → Rat. In mere seconds, the once warm field of flowers began to turn misty as fog began to cover the area and a light ran began to pour from the sky and clouds. The rain wasn't heavy, but more of a sprinkle. The mist made vision impaired for those not used to fighting under these conditions, but with both of them being former or current Kirigakure nin, the mist wouldn't hinder either of them.
Though the real effect of this technique would not be a hinderance to his opponent who only uses taijutsu, the reason that he chose to use this secret technique was to cover the field in water. That would allow him to use ninjutsu skills and combine his water techniques with his lighting techniques for a devastating result. His uncle seemed to be unfazed by the change in the weather and once again he looked as if it was something that he expected to happen. If this was true then that would mean that his man had been keeping an eye on Saitou for a while now. Which would also mean that he probably knows what ninjutsu the young Kaguya can use. Knowing however is only half the battle, he would be able to kill his uncle as long as he attacked in the right manner and prevented his attacks from being dodged or countered like they had been so easily done in his first attempt. He made a mistake the first time he attack his uncle, but he surely wouldn't make the same mistake twice. It was time to finally get serious in this battle and show this man what Saitou Hajime was really capable of.
This again was starting to make Saitou extremely mad. Why had his father not trusted him to be able to grow on his own and get strong? What was it that at such a young age his father decided that his son was so weak that he needed to be forced into training and treated like a slave to become strong? But all that didn't matter now. Saitou was who he is now because of what his father made him go through. Though he hated his father with all he had in him, he had helped him to become such a strong fighter now. But it always left the question.....could Saitou had gotten this strong without the help of his father? Of course he always told himself that he could and would have. Because even today, Saitou loves to train. He loves to learn new techniques and see how effective they are in killing people. How much blood it makes them squirt out before there weak bodies shrivel up and die. Before they fall to the ground and decay turning into the food for the plants. Thats the circle of life for you bitches and Saitou was simply helping the world revolve right? Survival of the fittest. Saitou was the fittest and as such it was his job to make sure all the weak undeserving souls moved on and became food for the plants and the disgusting bugs that at the kind of shit. Crap. He had let his mind wonder and forgot where he was and what he was doing for a moment. Surprisingly his uncle seemed to not care and only watched Saitou fall into his deep state of thinking. Maybe it was something his father did. Ew now that made him sound like his dad.
