Uchiha Struggle

In a cold winter day, the wind whistled as it passed through the silence of the ruins. What was once the thriving community of some old religious civilization, was now just a set of ruins with large rising pillars that reached to the sky. In the center of these ruins was a large plateau seemingly used for gladiators to do combat for sport, most games seemed to have ended in death due to the gruesome bodies that encircled this particular place. On the ground was water that could get as deep as 6ft in some places but the majority of the water only came up to ones mid-shin. Clouds overhead loomed ominously threatening of rain and a heavy storm, however the distance thundering didn't seem to unnerve the only person who seemed to be there.

His shirtless body seemed defiant to the cold weather that was looming over this area, the cool wind seemed to have no effect on this young man as he cautiously strode over the water, steaming chakra through his feet so that he wouldn't have to wade through the muck. His black shorts fluttered with his black-red tinted hair that flew backwards from his face. Clenching his fist, the bandages on his arms that seemed to stretch all the way to his elbow seemed to cover something, possibly a wound, but most likely not. His eyes constantly checked the area as he moved through the pillars, though they weren't tightly packed together with about 8ft before coming closer to another pillar. Kain sighed as he ran his hands over his face and through his hair, the movement of his arms causing the tanto's to cling together, the one on his back tapping the one whose hilt extended to his right.

The cold weather was something that most ninja other than those from Yukigakure found daunting. Saitou on the other hand loved when the weather got a bit chilly. Today was a perfect day to him, there was water everywhere and the sun was hiding letting the cold and wind take over. His body ached from the battle he had a few weeks ago because it pushed him to his limits and almost killed him, but for the ability and strength he gained from doing so it made it all worth the pain. He was now on his merry way back to his home of Kumogakure, but ended up taking a wrong turn somewhere....and now he didn't really know where he was anymore. Somehow he had ended up in a large area covered in stone....ruins perhaps? I guess to most they would be excited to run into such a great find like this, but Saitou just wanted to get home already.

Chakra surged through his feet as he began to walk on the water to prevent his immensely nice outfit from getting drenched in water or soiled by mud. As he walked through the ruins trying to find an exit more than anything he came upon a small arena of sorts. It looked almost like the arena from the chuunin exams only....an older style. The clouds began to cover more and more of the sky foreshadowing the rain and storm that was no doubt about to hit the area and ruin his beautiful clothing. How unfortunate this would be. Just as he turned to leave he noticed a man on the opposite side of the ruins through the gap between pillars. Maybe he wasn't the only one who got lost here after all.

Normally he would have just ignored the guy and left, but Saitou was itching to test out his new abilities. He didn't know if the man was interested in a fight, but it really didn't matter. In one swift motion, Saitou bounded off a pillar and jumped down to the arena. No doubt his flashy movements would catch the attention of the other person and hopefully if he was looking for the same thing he would come down to the arena and challenge the young Kaguya.

His hearing attuned to the sound of a newcomer in this area, though there wasn't much of a chance of someone finding this place by just looking for it, it was then clear that whoever it was had happened upon this place by accident. He turned his head slightly to acknowledge whoever it was, briefly showing a mild interest in the person while trying to enjoy the serene beauty of the ruins in their current state and condition. However, there seemed to be something else afoot as the other guy simply seemed to want to show off, he had jumped from a pillar and down into the arena, something that he was sure was a sign that he had some other kind of agenda and had already spotted him. 'It seems as if we have a challenge? I guess I shouldn't waste any time then.' Kain smirked as he formed a single seal then back flipped off of two pillars, launched himself towards another, and then finally landed into the arena. He tilted his head at whoever the guy was as he seemed to wear a nice piece of clothing. 'ding ding, round one.......start'

Using a solemn expression to hid his anxiety, Kain slowly withdrew his tanto that lay horizontally on his back. The smooth sound that the metal made as it slide across the hilt made him urn the feel of battle even more and the fact that he might be able to test his latest abilities made him hungry for blood. "So, may I test something out on you?......I ask because it seems like i'd be able to do so unto you without fear of it ending quickly." Speaking without a smile he would wait for a signal from either his opponent or the sky before he would make his move, but although it was his plan to wait for the starting signal his free left hand was already inching towards his weapons pouch.

As Saitou watched his soon to be opponent notice him, he quickly took note of the single sign that his opponent made. Hmmm he just used a quick jutsu. Body Flicker or Substitution Jutsu I'd assume. Most likely makes him a defensive fighter....if it is substitution then he's probably planning a sneak attack....if body flicker, then he's probably preparing for a quick attack or quick dodge....hmmmm This was usually Saitou's style of fighting. He was always an extremely observant fighter and every little movement caught his attention. He'd make some general guesses as to what his opponent was going to do and then prepare himself to counter the scenario's played out in his head.

His purple eyes watched every movement his opponent made and they widened in surprise when the man jumped into the areana and slowly removed a short sword. A Wakizashi? Tanto maybe? Hard to tell really but because it was so short it was definitely one of those two weapons. To see a ninja remove such a weapon and not attempt to bombard him with ninjutsu surprised the shinobi/samurai. This may actually turn out to be an extremely interesting match up after all. With his right hand resting on the hilt of is Kodachi, the samurai slowly grabbed the handle and drew the blade. His opponent spoke, but Saitou only half listened. He seemed to be asking a rhetorical question with just a hint of sarcasm, but the blood thirsty look in his eyes made the young Kaguya's own blood boil.

"By all means test out whatever you wish. I was actually planning on testing some new abilities of my own on you so this should make for an interesting match up indeed."

The young Kaguya stood before his opponent, sword drawn, ready to strike in an instant. His old style samurai clothes offered him many different areas on the body in which he could conceal weapons and that he did. In actuality he had an infinite amount of weapons at his disposal and all of them were hidden. His Hakama style pants were long and loose nearly covering his waraji covered feet and tabi socks. A simple black shirt covered his skinny chest and draped over that was a blue Haori. For all intents and purposes he was the embodiment of feudal Japan.

The battle about to begin, he took his battle stance. His left foot came forward, knee bent while his right foot and leg slid to the back in a defensive motion. This would give his body a firm planting on the ground in order to block and incoming attack. With his Kodachi in his right hand he brought the sword back and up with his elbow pointing behind him and the tip of the blade pointing at his opponent. The sword was horizontal to the sky and the tip of the sword rested between his left hand sitting between the space between his index finger and thumb as if aiming at his opponents heart.

His left fingers all pointed at his opponents chest and in an instant the four finger shot a bullet each at his opponent. These bullets moved as fast as a bullet being fired from a gun only would cause much more damage. They were all aimed at his chest and if struck would fly through his chest and out of his back. From the current trajectory they would kill him, but just leave him with four holes and bleeding. However, the moment the bullets were shot, Saitou charged. He knew that like most, his opponent would attempt to dodge the bullets and knowing that Saitou was ready. Left, right or up he was ready to strike with his Kodachi and slice his opponent.

The tempo of the battle was going to be decided by whoever was going to strike first, however from the start judging from the opponents' stance and the blade he decided to use. 'This guy isn't going to play games looks like he's out for something a bit more than a good time.' It seemed that his opponent was just as ready as he was, yet it was pretty obvious that it was going to be a battle to the death, he could feel it in the air as it was eminating off of his opponent like sweat or the stentch of rotten fish. 'This guy seems to have some kinda thing for me.....like he wants to eat me or something, weird. He seems like he's used to this kinda thing.....good.' Kain inched slowly to the left, but as he did so something shot out from his opponent, but the speed was something that wasn't as Kain expected. The speed of the bullets shot from his opponent was like a test to his own reaction time, he had a fraction of a second to respond and in this world he needed less to even blink, but his skills were being tested to the absolute extreme. "tch!" Kain had a few options available, he could move to the left or the right, or jump, but if he jumped his opponent would be there and he wouldn't have the option to dodge effectively in the air but if he moved to the sides then he has a better chance of performing other moves, either way he figured that it would be best to start off strong.

Moving swiftly and without so much as blinking, he would roll forward, effectively dodging the bullets that seemed to be aimed at his chest, knowing full well the charge of his opponent after the attack. His move was based on an old method of moving with the least suspected option and rolling forward was his. Though he had no idea what his opponent would follow up with, Kain had to make sure that the move wasn't going to land him into a spot that would be hard to move from. Has he rolled, he was sure to get up faster than he went down, he quickly popped up his tanto was poised and ready for action and a kunai drawn and tossed at his target, though it was a quick move he knew that his opponent wouldn't cut him any slack so he had to do the same. The withdrawal of the kunai came swift during his roll and the toss came shortly after he rose up. With his right hand he prepared a cross slash with the tanto, a quick slash that Kain used to measure the abilities of his opponents and get a quick assesment of his abilities.

His sword already drawn he quickly blocked the strike of the tanto when his opponent rolled forward to dodge his Tenshi Sendan. This was the first time anyone dodged like this and it completely caught him off guard and stopped him from being able to counter as he would have liked. The Kunai which was thrown before the strike and block of the tanto was too close and too fast for the Kaguya to react too and embedded itself in his stomach. Blood trickled down his body, but he showed no signs of pain, rather he simply spun around the moment his sword blocked the tanto and aimed a kick with right ankle at his opponents right ear.

The atmosphere was getting tense as the battle continued, dust was being kicked up all around them as the two combatants danced the dance of battle, he could only imagine the effects of the battle and how it would turn out at this point. His opponent seemed to have to take an L on that last attack letting the kunai hit him in the stomach, something that Kain found a little awkward but he hadn't the time to ponder on what was going on so he had to dive straight back into the battle. Coming back into the battle he realized that his opponent had blocked his sword effectively blocking his hand from coming into the battle for now. But things were coming into play for the opponent as he brought his leg up for a kick to him in the head, but in his opponent's spin he released Kain's other hand, with that done Kain ducked again and down into a spinning down with his leg out to trip up his opponent. As he spun he held both hands planted on the ground for added balance but also to effectively give him an additional option while on the ground which would leave him a bit open. He gritted his teeth focusing on the moves that his opponent was going through, attempting to try and read the movements of the opponent and guess his next move. But he wouldn't be able to without the proper information, he planned his next move carefully. "What was that move just then?"
