Harsh Awakening (Flash Back)

The City was fairly empty in this part of town, the crime was a record for the city in these times due to the lack of attention being paid in this town, if Hanzo or the Akatsuki were still in town this wouldn't be happening, however such failures and disgraces stain the image of Amegakure. The never ending rain was constant and flooding was still not a problem for the village hidden in the rain, in this the down town part of the village walked a lone genin of the hidden rain, though he didn't have much training after graduating the academy he did learn alot that would get him through the tough times. Kain sighed, his reddish black hair lay behind him on his back bounded by strands of rope mostly due to the length it had gotten recently, with his hands in his pocket the young red eyed shinobi looked to the sky with the falling rain dropping onto his face and sliding off. "This rain, sometimes it can be a little too much for most to cope with..........-sigh- oh well, just gotta keep pushing forward I guess, don't wanna be here too long." As he continued to walk Kain looked down and began to kick out farther in front of him as he walked. "Gotta find a mission or something to do soon, I'm getting bored."

Kain stopped at the entrance to a back alley, leaning against the wall the young genin looked down at his feet, his black shirt wet from the rain, he never carried an umbrella or wore a jacket, but he never did leave without being equipped for battle, his bandages on his arms came up to his elbow, some speculate a scar that caused his arm to look deformed from the elbow down, other thing that maybe theres a tattoo under it. Nevertheless, these rumors will only be known to those he feels he has to show them to, and hopefully there was nobody that he would have to show them too. However, if the time ever came he would show the world what he could do with a grin and bright red eyes to greet them. Kain looked around, nobody was in sight he knew that he would need to have something to occupy his time. "Damn it all, I need a mission.....or maybe some excitement." Kain smirked, his blood was boiling as he began to warm up, his blood was rushing through his veins as his eagerness began to make him tremble, the tanto's on his back began to 'ting' against the wall of the building.

The rain fell onto a figure walking throughout Amekagure. The man sniffed the air and he removed his mask to breath in the air. "Ahh that was a refreshing swim right Kinto." Kinto looked up at hidio and seem to smile in a dog like way. "You know being one of the two shinobi of this village kinda sucks yet let see if we can go make friends with the other shinobi." Hidio and Kinto walked throughout the streets and searched for the other shinobi. Hidio and Kinto ears perked up at the sound of a 'ting'. "Got him." Hidio and Kinto moved toward the sound. It got louder as they neared the alley. Hidio saw a young man constantly pounding his tanto's against the wall his bandages wet from the rain. Hidio strode forward. "The thing about a wall is that they don't fight back." Hidio leaned with his back to the wall. "So how about trying to hit something that moves I mean come on what more do you have to do." Kinto laid down and put his head between his front paws.

Kain's face perked up as he looked around, hearing a voice sounding as thought it were speaking to him, he inhaled as he looked and beheld the sight of another shinobi and a ninja dog. 'This must be my lucky day! must be my birthday, having a gift given to me this early! hahahaha someone must love me in the sky!' Kain leaned off the wall, his head tilted to the left as he looked to the two new people. The rain was getting on his nerves and he knew that this was at the point where he would have to hurry and take things to a level where they could be free and fight as they pleased, since there was no people, this was the perfect area for them. "Are you talking to me........you dunce?" A smile crept upon his face as he stared down the pair, it was a two on one situation but he was pretty sure that he would be able to take them.

"Well, if you want to have it that way......then lets see how well you fight!" With the challenge accepted with those words he charged, withdrawing a kunai for both hands as he charged them. As he moved he threw both kunai at the mutt and concentrated a small amount of chakra into his finger tips signaling death from above with the beating of wings ever so persistent in the ears of the three that were there. The blackness of the sky that would swoop down to engulf the area even Kain, the consistency of the spreading continuously played a major role in shrouding them. "You will feel the strength of my punch across your face for being so smug!"

Hidio swung his scythe interrcepting the two kunais. "I thought you would have gone for me first but ooh well." Hidio ran at the man his eyes filled with beastial fury. "Lets play." Hidio jumped in the air and turned a flip comming down with his scythe in a two handed chop. Kinto ran at the man also running from the right and launched in air at the man's right arm.

Kain smirked as the flock of crows gathered, becoming a swarm that would block out most of the vision throughout the street, they multiplied like flies in a rainy season. Very soon there was little to no place to hide from them. This was Kain's technique, Scattering One Thousand Crows Technique, a technique that summoned large amounts of crows that would be controlled by Kain himself, but thats not all, they would also continuously multiply as they obscure an enemy's vision. His kunai had been deflected yet the enemy was persistent. 'Great! now we can get through this battle with little to no effort!' Kain effortlessly moved in and out of vision staying on the move as he dashed back and forth, here and there, attempting to stay out of the way of the duo. The mutt lept for Kain, however the genin was not going to let that venture try to stop his abilities, reacting quickly, Kain withdrew his left tanto with his right hand, spinning around gracefully and slashing in a style that was meant to slice at the open throat of the dog. 'This will learn you, fucking dog!'

As the battle continued and the crows were now everywhere flocking around, Kain did battle with the dog at the moment, but Hidio had lept into the air with his scythe, it was obvious that he was meaning to fall onto Kain with it and attack. However, that wasn't about to happen as dozen's of crows formed just below the falling Hidio and he would be met with another Kain, his Tanto slashing to his scythe blocking the strike that was aimed for the original. Crow Clone Technique was another of Kain's favorites to use in cooperation with Scattering One Thousand Crows, this allowed him to form as many clones as needed or increase the number of crows in the flock, either way it was perfect for him.

The crows were annoying Hidio they were every where and the croes seem to make a clone of some sort he couldn't see or hear, but thing about being a dog man is this. "I may not be able to see you or hear you, but i can sure smell you." Hidio flipped backward from his foe. Kinto body twisted at the last second the tanto scrapped his shoulder the cut wasn't deep. Kinto landed on the ground and growled at the crows. Hidio was excited by his opponent power. "I got to get rid of these crows. and the only way is to take him down." Hidio could smell the crows in one body on the left the other the real one was on the right." Hidio moved his hand in completing different hand signs. "Drop dead crows. Wind release: Great breakthrough!" Hidio launched a gust of wind openning up a tunnel throught the crows yet it seem to be closing Hidio rushed forward and swung his scythe at the original comming diagonal downward. Kinto ran toward the clone and jumped in the air aiming for the clones left shoulder.

his opponents didn't seem to be too much of amateurs, he smirked as his clone landed someone opposite of his current position. The opponent got lucky and flipped from the clone, while the mutt got hit by the tanto. 'That was a good enough strike, if i can keep this up then this should be fairly simple while still being a good fight.' Kain nodded to his thought as the clone jumped into the air and landed on the side of a building holding his own until something was needed of him, simultaneously on the building opposite of him crows gathered together for another identical creation, both performing seals. Meanwhile, the original rushed forward "Well lets see how you like this!" Kain charged in now with his tanto drawn he was set on taking care of the mutt first, then the shinobi wouldn't be so hard, however, Kain was wrong.

Through the flocking of birds there came a sudden gust , in groups the birds were sent his way, the screeching bird ran into him one by one and sometimes in pairs, it was then that he was hit with the full blast of the Wind jutsu. "Must be a Wind............technique......." Kain was blown back by the attack, but he moved his fingers in a way that caused the birds behind him to gather and cushion the impact. Struggling to rise Kain cursed under his breath. 'Damn that hurt' He brushed himself off as he walked forward.........."Is that all you got?! BRING SOME MORE!" From behind him the crows would return spreading out over the street like a fluttering black plague. Kain would then be lost within them, his image being lost among them.

Kinto and Hidio panted. Hidio arched back his head and his eyes lit up with bestial fury. "PUSH ME TO MY LIMITS SHOW ME YOUR POWER!" Hidio moved his hand into mutiple handsigns "Four leg technique." Hidio threw his scythe into the wall. Hidio got down on all fours and his body began to change his nails grew to claws his canine teeth grew larger. "Play time is OVER!" Hidio ripped through the cloud of crows slashing at them with his teeth and claws. Kinto ran into the cloud searching for the orignal taking down crows.

The Clones watched as the boy and dog attempted to take down the crows, in a futile attempt for each crow that went down only served to increased the general number for each one that died three more flocked to the point of destruction never giving up through it all. The mass began to swirl with the desire of Kain's own chakra, focusing he continued to observe, the boy was coming at him, but the dog seemed to be searching for the clones. 'Perfect' It was a perfect set up and it was now about to get real! One of the clones jumped above the swarming mass, another went to the back of the group while the original stood at the head, having just finished hand seals. "Prepare yourself for trouble little mutts!" From the Kain's that stood at the front and the back released a multitude of fire balls at the flock of crows, 'Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu!' (Phoenix Sage Fire Technique).

The fire however wasn't going to be the last bit of the barrage, yet it was just the set up for the final clone's attack. As the fireballs struck in various places, with two sets of up to 12 balls of fire each, 24 balls of flame about the size of a basketball raged into the flock striking everything in their way. From above came the final blow, from the mouth of the third clone came a familiar technique, 'Futon:Daitoppa!' (Great Breakthrough). The wind technique struck the flock of crows, using the fire from the Fire element jutsu to create a destructive force combination of Fire and Wind, each enhancing the other's capabilities. The power of the wind technique nearly knocked the Kain's on the ground away, however, they had prepared for this technique. Concentrating chakra within their feet they had managed to avoid being knocked over, while simultaneously being out of range of the explosion of the wind and fire techniques merging become more fearsome. "Suck on that Mutt!"

Hidio dogde using his animal reflexs only for the Wind techniqque to push him and Kinto back into the flames. Hidio screamed as the flame started to sear his body. Kinto howled from pain. "Kinto it's time we got to end them now!" Hidio struggled to his feet body scarred from the fire though not as bad. The rain seem to help cool off his burns. Kinto growled and wearly got to his feet. "You have done the unthinkable you have tried to kill my ninken. my friend and brother. Your time to lose is NOW!" Hidio moved his hands "Beast man clone technique." Kinto morphed into a human like form to look excatly like Hidio. "Watch some real teamwork between man and animal." Hidio moved his hands completing mutiple signs. "Fang Passing Fang!" Hidio and Kinto Launched at the high speeds ripping through the storm cloud of crows to be above them. Hidio and kinto could see the clones one comming down from the air and two on the ground. Hidio cloud smell the human on the one at the head of the crows. Hidio thought before he started spinning ("This is going to finsih him to take out the clones we have to take him out.") Hidio growled "This is the end for you! FANG PASSING FANG!"Hidio and Kinto spun and launched themsleves from the sky at the orignal at high velocity.

The attack worked and hit both targets, Kain smirked as his breathing began to weight down, making him breathe heavily. He used too much chakra already and right now was going to make it even worse for him to use much more chakra, and he already knew this and was devising a plan to end this soon. 'Fuck, They got up! Gotta think of something fast....obviously his team work with the mutt is the most important and key to his power........then I just gotta eliminate the dog.....or beat the shit outta this guy!' As Kain thought, his opponent's took action, a move that wouldn't go unnoticed by the three. 'They can sniff me out.........so the crows are only effective for their sight.......Alright bring it.' Though the one in the back couldn't make it to the front in time, the one above bounced off of a building, utilizing what little chakra it had left into its feet, the Crow Clone appeared with the original as the two of them stood with their tanto's withdrawn. The original took the brunt of the attack but using chakra in his feet to help push back the attacker, Kain managed to parry the attack by Hidio while getting knocked back, the wall and a few gathering of crows managed to soften his landing, but the wall made it worse. Meanwhile, the 2nd Kain did the same but to the opposite side of Kinto, but managed to skid on the ground while still being on his feet thanks to the chakra he had in them.

As the four battled, the 3rd Kain watched form atop the wall of a building waiting for the right time to strike but he would need to use precise aiming if he was going to get this right. The battle was pushing Kain to his limits, having to deal with the speed of the two was a problem but he felt as though he was getting used to it, he felt it in his blood as a smile crept unto all 3 faces of the Kain's. "This is getting fun....I guess I'm gonna have to step it up a bit further then." The 3rd Kain withdrew 6 kunai and began preparing them, adding some tags to them and holding them in his hand for later. It would take key timing but he believed he could do it. Kain wouldn't stay on the wall for long as he was already getting up, though it was a bit of a struggle he was sure that he could do it without much trouble, the bandages on his arm began to unravel. 'I guess its time to use them............hope they don't end up hurt too bad.'

Hidio was enraged at the fact that this man stood against his jutsu. Hidio wanted this fight to end he was reaching his end and the whole crows and clones was getting on his nerves. Hidio yell out a challenge. "Let's stop this whole bullshit right now. Stop with the crows the clones. Kinto will step off and it will be just you and me no jutsu just taijutsu no weapons just my fist versus yours." Hidio looked at his ninken the burns and the fight had truly taken their toll on him. "Kinto I don't want you to get hurt anymore stop fighting and rest and if he doesn't accept my challenge and he kills me I want you to run and never look back." Kinto bowed his head and gingerly walked over to hidio to rub against his leg. "I love you too my friend." Kinto gingerly walked over to the wall and laid down with his eyes watching their foe. Hidio stood forward and clenched his fist and held out his arms. Hidio knew that he was taking a risk but he was tired of seeing Kinto in pain. Hidio held out his arm and beckoned with his index finger."So you going to man up or what."

Kain smirked it seemed that his opponent was getting fed up with this battle, maybe it was for the sake of the mutt since he did seem to care an awful amount for it, or it could possibly be about his own safety, either way Kain couldn't help but release a laugh as the crows began to disappear in large quantities. "Do you really think that in a battle of ninja that you will get the chance to fight your opponent as you wish??" Kain stepped forward his fist clenched, his anger boiling to the point where his face twisted in madness. "GET REAL! THIS BATTLE IS NOT OVER UNTIL I SAY IT IS!" At that moment the clone that had came to help the original had began to disappear, the other clone worked fast as he jumped down from the building, landed on the scythe of the opponent, swung off the handle as it was sticking out with the blade stuck into the side of a building, and released the kunai, after which he also began to disappear.

Kain's vision cleared, his eye sight steadily growing better as he was able to get a slight view of his opponent's chakra. 'What.....what is this influence coming over me?' Gritting his teeth, he prepared himself as the kunai fell. It seemed to be going in slow motion for Kain, his eyes never leaving his opponent yet able to perceive the kunai being thrown at Hidio. It only took a few seconds for the kunai to reach the level of the ground, and then before they got close enough to the point where an explosion would've decimated him, they exploded. The distance the kunai would've exploded from wouldn't have caused much if any mortal damage to the man dog duo, though a bit of shockwave damage might get them it was still too far for any strong damage. "LETS GOOOOOO!" But the explosions did give Kain a bit of an advantage, and a bit of a disadvantage, with smoke coming from the area, his eyes weren't able to see much coming from the area but he was focused and he knew that he would be able to fight this battle to the fullest.

Hidio ears perked at the sound of the tag in air alerted him. Hidio flipped backward from the explosion at least he tried. Hidio was hit by the shockwave throwing him backward. Hidio landed awkwardly and fell hidio stood up and dusted himself off. "I should have known that you wouldn't accept I thought you had some honor. Kinto stay back and rest." Hidio strode forward he had to beat this man or he might kill Kinto "Or me for that matter." Hidio grabbed his sycthe. "I"m going to reap your soul. I will feed it to demons myself." Hidio swung his weapon around. "So i see you took away your friends so do want to fight me for real." Hidio smiled. "Well then you and me is going to end soon." Hidio put his scythe in his right and jumped onto the wall he then ran and jumped spinning with his blade.

Although his opponent was getting hyped through the worry of his companion, Kain was getting hyped at the thought of smearing his blood against the wall of the building. "Reap my soul? WELL COME AND TRY TO MUTT! Show me if you can feed the soul of a monster to a demon!" He smirked wickedly as he charged through the dust only to see his opponent with his scythe taking to the air and onto a building. Stopping his charge, Kain watched and waited his opponent's move were getting a bit clearer, he smirked as his eye sight changed. 'This must be my sharingan, I can see a bit of the chakra flow in my body as well as this guy's...........well it seems like the Uchiha blood in me is beginning to stirr.....' Kain bent his knees, generating chakra in his feet, "THEN I GUESS I SHOULD TOO! HAHAHAHAHA!" he then lept forward to meet his opponent as Hidio left from building swinging the blade.

Though his opponent had a scythe, Kain had a bit more, and since he was in the air it would be increasingly difficult to dodge this next attack. Kain threw his left hand across as he began to turn around a single time quickly, his right hand would follow after showing his opponent his back as he spun, though it was only for a brief second. The left hand would carry with it an attack from 3 tendrils of his bandage, the bandages were as hard as steel. The first two tendrils would attempt to grab, wrap around, and grip tight the scythe as the other two would try to grab Hidio's legs, and with the turning motion Kain was in it would attempt to slam him into the walls of the building. Then with his right arm coming swiftly behind it, he would attempt to slash at Hidio, trying to cut him deep if not stab him, in various non-lethal places. 'This sharingan of mines is a big help! HAHAHAHAHAHA guess I gotta thank my ancestors for this gift!' Kain roared out as he went through his motions. "AND YOU!"

Hidio saw the bandages shoot out like tendrils and came out for hidio aiming for his scythe and his leg. "So resulting to bandages to stop me ok let's go." Hidio brought up his legs the tendril went underneath his leg. The banadges wrapped around his scythe. Hidio smiled " Your mine .fang passing fang." Hidio spun and the scythe spun with him to wrap up the bandages.

Kain held tight as the opponent used his signature move, he focused as he had prepared for such an attack against him. With his other hand coming across, the tendrils quickly responded to Kain's emergency, darting into the building and pulling him in. The move barely had enough time as the attack caught part of Kain's left side, the combination of the scythe and the jutsu itself sliced into Kain's arm and parts of his flank as he barely made it out the way. 'Shit! Fucking asshole got me! Lets see how you deal with this!' Forming a single seal first with his left hand, He then began to run along the building as he attempted to get into position for his next move.

As he got into position, Kain then brought his hands together for another assault, forming multiple seals even as his arm bled, Kain released an entourage of 8 medium sized fire balls heading straight for the Kinto. He smirked as the mutt was already pretty wounded, and the fireballs coming at him were a bit much to dodge, either way he would make due with his decision whether or not it was a cowardly move he cared not, he only cared for winning this battle!

Hidio turned around at the sound of the flames approaching. "Damn flames again." Hidio turned and look at the flames head for Kinto. "Not him damn you."Hidio jumped from the wall into front of kinto. Hidio spun his scythe to slash at the fireballs the flames that weren't slashed burn hid body. Hidio panted the flames causing more pain at least kinto was ok. Kinto stood up and growled and then fell back down to the ground "You attacked Kinto and you tried to destroy my friend." Hidio smiled as kain had dodge his attack. "Your flames hit their mark but let's see if you can stand up against me again." Hidio moved his hands "Wind release: Great Breakthrough!" Hidio launched a large wind force at Kain. Hidio then got into a defensive stance.

Though he knew that the attack was a bit cowardly, he still had to do it to Hidio to finish this battle so that he could win. A good fight ended with a petty sneak attack, though it wasn't how he would've liked it, it had to be done just like that. And with it being done, he had made his move already. Just as his opponent had finished blocking the fireballs, Kain had another trick up his sleeve, though he was damaged himself he had to do something that would finish this battle and fast. And there was nothing quite as fast as a body flicker technique, using the technique Kain appeared just after the flames were finished. Appearing close to Hidio, Kain held both hands towards his opponent, and at that point time seemed to stand extremely still as he spoke. "Your finished....." From both of his hands would shoot out with great speed, the tendrils, as hard as steel and with an aim to do some serious damage. Eight in total, the tendrils came in fours from both arms, the right arm's tendrils was aimed a bit lower, tempting to slash across Hidio's legs, though not aimed to cut them off, he did intend to wound the lad beyond being capable of walking. At the same time, the left arm's tendrils were aimed at stabbing into Hidio. They were shot in a way to avoid hitting vital spots while impaling his opponent through and immobilizing him by hitting him in both shoulders just below the collar bone, one in the chest and the last one in the stomach.

"Sorry it had to come to this.....but your too good for it not to have to....you pushed me to my limits and allowed me to awaken my sharingan. Thanks to you, I can go even further past my previous limits." Kain sighed as he held his position, his tanto still in his hand. His eyes narrowed as he looked to Hidio, his red tinted hair blowing in the breeze that attempted to cool the situation but to no avail. With his attempt to finish the fight near perfectly timed he had to realize that this plan might be a little too much for him to have to do.

Hidio screamed in pain the loss blood was great but not lethal. "Hahahahhaa good move man i guess you are pretty good and the story about uchiha is good well. Hidio moved his hands together with great pain and used beast man clone. "Kinto growled with pain and changed into Hidio clone being behind the pair "Kinto now!" Hidio moved his hands again passing out from the loss of blood with the final handsign. Kinto used fang passing fang by himself striking his opponent in the back.

Kain realized a flaw he made as he perked up after his opponent formed his seals, He turned only to realize a bit too late what they were for, he tried to move but he couldn't move fast enough. 'chk.....wh....what the hell?' He attempted to move out the way and only partially succeeded, the mutt had caught his side and sent him flying out of the way. Kain skipped over the ground and finally came to a stop a little distance later, though he was conscious he was in a great deal of pain. "Gah! F.......fucking dog! hehehe." He laughed as he coughed up some blood, the pain on his left side was intense and he knew he had a few broken ribs from the pain, but it was nothing compared to the pain that his opponent was probably feeling.

Because Kain was already so close to Hidio, when he moved out of the way there was a strong possibility that Hidio would've been hit. However, Kain had a gift for the now unconscious Hidio, because his tendrils were still in him, when he was hit the body of Hidio was knocked away also but without much if any damage. "Well, damn where'd you find this at? heh......That was good for a final duet with your mutt, guess we'll leave it at this." Kain looked to the mutt as he struggled to rise to his feet after sustaining so much damage and using nearly all of his charka. "Take him to a hospital asap mutt......As for me....I'll see you there." Getting to his feet, Kain limped away from the area, leaving the two alone. 'Gotta get the fuck outta here hahahahahaha!'

Hidio awoke to the rain fallling on his body. His body aching, bleeding and sore from the fight with the uchiha. "Dude is strong i'm pretty sure he is pretty hurt too." Kinto licked hidio. "Come on old friend." Hidio pushed himself up and limped toward the nearest hospital to heal. Kinto walked protectively next to Hidio.
