It was bright outside, high noon? Maybe around 1? Anyway, it was bright, and hot... Atleast that's what he figured, Tetsu Kokku had been inside the arcade all day. For all he knew it could already be rounding 7 or 8, possibly going on the darkness of night, but Tetsu, he didn't care. The arcade had just come out with a new game, it was virtual reality. For real. And it was finally his turn to play. He had been standing in line for what seemed like decades and as soon as thhe people in front of him were done, he was there and ready. The game was simply a pitch black room, but once you step inside it activates.
Tetsu Kokku took his first few steps into the room and although a bit nervous at first, he was, for sure, pretty damn excited. He stepped into the center and thhe game activated, it was white now, everything was the purest of whites he had ever seen, including the floors and ceilings. It almost seemed as if he was standing on nothing, looking at nothing, seeing nothing. Nothing but white. But then a square appeared directly in front of his face, approximately 2 feet away from him. It was about 30 inches by 30 inches from corner to corner. Tetsu noticed a gray border around it, but the inside was completely white. He brought up his right hand and smacked at the right side of square and it slid to the left, just a new one slid from the right, but the new one was a screen of swamp, almost like a camera was traveling through a swampy area, Tetsu looked down and it was as if he were standing in the sky looking down at this said swamp. He smacked the side of the screen again, as he did before, and the new screen was a desert, and again, he could look down and see the over view. He smacked again and again until he came across a nice little prairie. The terrain was pretty steady, there were a few scattered trees here and there.
Tetsu decided on this one, he pushed the screen away and as he did so, the overview vanished and he appeared in the terrain he had just chosen. "Holy shit... This is... The shit..." He whispered to himself as he looked around him. The place was huge, far bigger than the first room he had stepped into. The screen pulled up again and he decided to tweak a little bit, he added a small body of water off to the side, a little shack at the end, and a couple of animals scattered about. The last thing he added wasn't very ordinary however, it was a giant portal. The edges of the portal were a dark gray with 5 spikes coming out both sides that hit the ground, and the top was of a dragon's head so that looking at it from the front it was like a dragon staring at you with a rather evil look.
Tetsu Kokku then took both of his hand and crushed the screen between them so that it flattened and disappeared, he then stepped through portal to find himself standing on a rather large blade of grass. He was probably 3 or 4 hundred off the ground and looking around. The portal had shrunk him to the size of a piss aunt and now it was gone. "This better not have been a bad idea..." He thought to himself. He jumped to a slightly higher blade of grass to look around, he could see the pond he had placed, the shack, everything. He sat down onto the blade of grass with a short sigh and waited for an opponent worthy of fighting to appear in the same area.
