Chapter One: The Awakening
Swish! The sound of the crimson curtains being pulled back was all that could be heard in
Hakushin “
Sion”
Voltaire’s apartment. The apartment building was one of the largest in Kirigakure no Sato. The penthouse-styled apartment that he lived in was on the very top level of that building, which was obviously being paid for by his rich parents that were doctors in the village’s largest hospital. They worked without the use of medical Ninjutsu with actual medical equipment. They worked along side medical shinobi and his parents were the best out of the
Voltaire Clan, which was known for their production of Non-Shinobi doctors. The room was filled with expense furniture, paintings, sculptures, and painting supplies. Haku walked from the window into his room to a king-sized bed filled with three gorgeous women laying asleep in it. He chuckled to himself at the wild party he was at last night. The sake was never ending and the women were as well. Of course, the Kirigakure Shinobi had a huge hangover, but he wrote a small note to his one night standers and walked into his walk-in closet. The young Greek God looking man was in nothing but a towel, because he had just gotten out of his shower. He had a mission to do today. He wanted to learn about one of the greatest groups in the Shinobi World, The Seven Swordsmen of Kirigakure. He got dressed quickly in the same attire he wore basically everyday, which was a pair of blue and grey boxers, black jean pants, black socks with black, lightweight, combat boots, no shirt, and a short-sleeved black overcoat with his family cress on the back. He tossed the note at the three young women and walked out of his apartment to head to the village library for some research. The young man walked down the steps of the apartment building one by one rather slowly. He wasn’t in a big rush, because the Mizukage already gave him the okay order to seek out one of the legendary blades that once belonged to one of the original Seven Swordsmen of Kirigakure.
The young man took his time getting to the Kirigakure library, and reached the library after about forty-five minutes of travel. The young man wasn’t planning on going back to his Apartment, which is one of the reasons why he brought his belt with his long bladed katana attached to the left side, which was on his left hip, his pair of knuckle knives, which were attached to the right side of the belt in a buttoning leather holder, and his blank scroll, which was kept on the back of the belt hidden underneath his short-sleeved overcoat. He walked into the library with his same insanely calm attitude and went straight to the librarian’s front desk. He showed her the order from the Mizukage and got access to the archives in the restricted section. She gave him an annoyed look and handed over the key to the door that lead to the basement. Haku gave a small nod to the woman and started towards the door. He reached the down in three simple minutes. He unlocked the door and opened it to the dark staircase that led down tot eh restricted section of the library. He walked in and quickly closed to the door behind him. Then, he decided to lock it to keep wandering people out of his business. The journey down to the basement was a very short one. Then, it was all about reading, reading, and reading.
Hakushin “
Sion”
Voltaire emerged from the basement after about a day of solid research. He had found out where the item was generally located, which was in Kaminari no Kuni. He would begin his long journey after he got a bit to eat, which would take all of an hour to do. He knew the general location of the legendary item and that was enough for him to celebrate on. The night started with Haku grabbing his traveling pack from the location outside the village gates, which is where he hides his emergency travel pack. He would have to take a boat out of Mizu no Kuni to get to Kaminari no Kuni. The trip would take him a couple of days, but it was all worth it if he could pinpoint the location of the legendary item of his dreams. The boat trip was long and tiresome. They ran through a rather nasty storm but still happened to land on the shores of Kaminari no Kuni at the correct date and time. Yet, that was only one part of the journey down. He still had to make his way to the great village of Kumogakure no Sato.
Hakushin “
Sion”
Voltaire began to make his way out of port to Kumogakure no Sato. He needed to make it there by night fall, but that would be a challenge. So, he did a simple ram handsign and disappeared with the Shunshin no Jutsu towards Kumogakure no Sato.
A simple poof of smoke erupted in front of the gates to Kumogakure. The smoke cleared in a matter of seconds to reveal
Hakushin standing there with beads of sweat rolling down his face. He had traveled that great distance before nightfall, and he was completely exhausted from that long trip. Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Three guard shinobi suddenly appeared all around him with their hands on their weapons ready to strike. “Well, what is your objective coming to Kumogakure, huh? That headband places you as a Kirigakure Shinobi,” spoke one of the guard shinobi.
Hakushin simply pulled out his passport-like booklet to reveal to them he is here on a non-attack based mission for the Mizukage for a special item that is hidden in Kaminari no Kuni somewhere. The shinobi looked at each before sending one of them off to talk to the Raikage, which would obviously give him permission or risk the start of a war. The shinobi appeared just as quickly as he disappeared and handed Haku his passport-like booklet back. “Sorry, Mr.
Voltaire go right on ahead.” The shinobi disappeared back to their spots and Haku walked right in to the village without anymore hassle at all.
Chapter Two: The Search
The young Kirigakure no Sato Shinobi walked to a tavern close by to get some rest and get ready for the long day of searching tomorrow. The voices decided that tonight would be the night they all talked at once in his dreams. The chaos within Haku’s mind wouldn’t let him stay asleep, which eventually made him go to search earlier then expected. He got out of bed around midnight and went to take a shower. He was out into the cold night air right away with his usual attire on. He was on a mission to find anyone that knew anything about the possible whereabouts of the legendary item. He was looking for. The young man went to EVERY tavern, brothel, and pub to ask around about the legendary item. Most people didn’t even know what he was talking about. The young man quickly appeared in a simple poof of smoke on top one of the tallest buildings in Kumogakure, and laid down to look up at the clouds. He needed to find someone that he could get to reveal the location of the legendary item he was searching for. He just needed some sort of small piece of a clue to point him in the right direction. Yet, he was about to get something much better!
Smash! Crash! Boom! Dust flew everywhere and got Haku to jump up rather quickly to find a rather tall, muscular man standing in front of him with a long katana on his right hip, which was a sign that he was left-handed. “Well, I’ve heard you’ve been looking for the location of Nuibari, kid.” A tan older man stood in front of him in a crater he created by just landing on the rooftop. Haku was at the ready with his hand placed securely on his katana hilt ready to draw it at any moment. “Yes, I am looking for the legendary sword called Nuibari it belonged to one of the Seven Swordsmen named Kushimaru Kuriarare. He was one of the greatest Seven Swordsmen that I read about,” Haku spoke out towards the rather large man. Who was this guy? What purpose did he have just instantly appearing on the same rooftop he was on? The events were evolving slowly but it was only a matter of time before everything feel into place. The man chuckled, a full bellied laugh, before disappearing and reappearing directly in front of the young man. The sound of clashing metal was soon heard throughout the village as the two men engaged in swordplay.
The battle of swordplay lasted for hours, but the two men weren’t backing down. They appeared on another rooftop only a mile away from their original spots.
Hakushin was covered from head to toe with little cuts that the old man laid hits to him. He [
Hakushin] was breathing heavily as he looked at the man with his eye before sliding a vial of his poison out of one of the slots on the back of his belt. He quickly opened it up and poured it into the holster on his right hip. “So, I guess your going to kill me?” Haku let out a small chuckle as he spoke those words and lifted up an empty vial with his right hand to show the man what he had done. He had switched hands while they fought and he tossed the empty vial straight into the air aiming at the man’s face. Then, he pulled out one of his poison soaked knuckle knives and flicked his wrist towards the man. The blade sliced clean through the stranger’s sleeve infecting him with The Devil’s Whore poison. The paralyzing poison called The Devil’s Whore was a poison that
Hakushin himself created from the Reaper’s Subject herb. The poison would slowly creep into the target’s heart, and then be pumped through the whole body. The man had a matter of minutes but he only smiled at Haku as his body went limb from the Paralysis. The paralysis could be easily stopped though by a simple cure Haku had on his belt, but would the man take it or not.
“Well… You have about three more minutes before your whole body becomes paralyzed. Now, who are you and what is your purpose in finding me?”
Hakushin pushed out the horrible voices in his mind telling him to just kill the guy, because what if this man held the secret to the location of Nuibari. “Well, boy. I am known as Raiga Matsumoto. I live here in Kumogakure no Sato. I’ve mastered that great blade and it seems like you are a good swordsmen as well. So, I’ll let you in on a little secret if you give me the cure.” Raiga chuckled as his body fell into a comatose-like state.
Hakushin pulled out one of his families medical syringes, fills it, and slams the needle into the man’s chest right into the heart. He injects the man with the cure and in a mater of minutes. He was able to move again and he simply stood up. “Well, boy. The Nuibari sword is on Turtle Island somewhere. Good Luck. If you find it, I’ll ask for your name next time we meet.” Then, Raiga just up and disappeared in a flash of light.
“Well, I guess I’ll head to Turtle Island next. I will need supplies and a freaking boat…. Off to search for one I guess.”
Hakushin spoke out loud as his voices finally stopped their arguments. He turned to look out at the village. He had about 12 hours of light left. So, he quickly did a ram handsign and disappeared from the rooftop. Within in a couple of hours, Haku had supplies and a boat ready to take him to the Legendary Turtle Island of Kumogakure no Sato.
Chapter Three: The Climax
The boat ride was one that was horribly long, because Turtle Island of Kumogakure no Sato was one that moved, which made pinpointing the location rather difficult. When the boat captain finally found the Turtle Island night had already fallen.
Hakushin waved good-bye to the camp as he turned back to look at the huge dark forest on the back of this turtle. “This is going to be a long night.”
Hakushin thought as he began to put up his tent to try to get some sleep. He crawled into his tent and felt straight to sleep. He was out for a long ass time, which was a good thing because he would need his rest to try to cover this entire island. The young man was awoken from his deep sleep by a very loud growling noise. He quickly pulled out the closest weapon to him, which happened to be his knuckle knives. He quickly slid them onto his hands and stepped outside the tent to find a giant bear standing outside his tent. He gave a quick sigh before jumping out of the way of a giant paw that slammed into the ground where he was just standing.
The bear was freaking huge and he knew he could easily smash this little human if he would just sit still!
Hakushin knew he couldn’t actually kill this bear since it is one of the many rare species on this island, which meant he needed to cause some paralysis. He jumped around the area and the bear tried to hit him until finally he made the ram handsigns and used Shunshin no Jutsu to flicker by him cutting him ever so slightly on his shoulder. Then, landed gently behind him and the bear collapsed right on time from the paralysis that set in from the cut.
Hakushin simply chuckled as he packed up his stuff and set off into the massive jungle. The search would most likely take all day if he didn’t have to deal with anymore animals of any kind.
The sun slowly went through the sky as Haku searched all day for the place where Nuibari was located. He finally came to a mouth of a giant cave, which seemed like a very good place to hide away a legendary blade, like Nuibari. So
Hakushin “
Sion”
Voltaire did the only thing logical. He walked right up to the mouth and proceeded to explore the cave. The cave was massive and at the very back of the cave was a single beam of light radiating down onto Nuibari. The blade was completely perfect, which made it look like it was just made. The blade was exactly like it was pictured in the history books.
Hakushin had met his goal with somewhat an easy time. He walked over to the legendary blade and took out his blank scroll he always kept on the back part of his item belt in a button up hostler. He unrolled it and did a Generic Sealing Technique on Nuibari. A giant poof of smoke covered the weapon and when the smoke cleared the blade was sealed into the scroll. He quickly left he cave and signaled the boat captain with a flare to come back to get him. He had found the legendary blade in a day, which was the easy part. He still had to learn how to use it, which he hoped that Raiga Matsumoto would teach him how to use this blade.
The boat trip seemed to take less time on the way back, which most likely had to do with the fact that the port didn’t move like the Turtle Island did. He arrived at port after a full night of sailing, and he quickly made his way back toward Kumogakure no Sato with a great pace set. The man known as Raiga Matsumoto was awaiting
Hakushin “
Sion”
Voltaire arrival back at the very rooftop they had fought at. “Well, looks like you made it back in one piece then. May I know your name now, kid?” Raiga’s voice was a mixture of excitement, annoyed, and pissed off tones, which only seems to give Castiel something to talk about. ‘This bastard seems to think we would die in there. Can we kill him please?” Castiel voice actually rang out in pleading tone this time, but
Hakushin couldn’t give in to him now. “No.”
Hakushin voice inside his head rang out with such leadership that Castiel shut up for the moment anyway. “My name is
Hakushin “
Sion”
Voltaire. I’m currently a student of one the New Seven Swordsmen of Kirigakure no Sato. So, if you could please teach me how to use this great weapon. I would be terribly grateful.”
Hakushin voice rang out in a nice, calming, and collected tone, which would usually make all the women do what he wanted but men was a different story. Raiga simply chuckled as he began by tossing
Hakushin a scroll over the fighting style that was used with Nuibari.
The scroll gave
Hakushin all the information he wanted about how to use the deadly blade known as Nuibari. He just needed to test them out on a live subject, which would be Raiga Matsumoto because he couldn’t have anyone from another village knowing he had the blade. So, he met up with Raiga on an open field and challenged him to a dual. Raiga simple laughed and told him he wouldn’t get away with the same tricks. The battle started off with Haku using Kirigakure no Jutsu to cover the field in a very thick mist and after that is was over.
Hakushin simply threw Nuibari at Raiga and it pierced straight through his stomach. He quickly repeated the process until he had pierced through all the major organs. Then, he simply pulled the blade to stitch his organs together killing him completely.
Hakushin “
Sion”
Voltaire buried the body of Raiga Matsumoto in an unmarked grave and left Kaminari no Kuni with Nuibari sealed with the scroll on the back of his item belt. He had success obtained one of the Seven Legendary swords of the former Swordsmen of Kirigakure no Sato. This was exactly the type of news he wanted to spend through the village, but of course he wouldn’t do that because he didn’t want anyone else knowing besides his Sensei and Kage. That way he could sue the blade as a hidden advantage that would surprise the opponent.
