Strengths and Weakness may be confusing, but it is very simple.

You have 3 choice for each category

Weak
Normal
Strong

Any category that is weak will set you back a rank in that category
*Example: Chunnin with a strength that is weak, will have the strength of a genin

Any category that is strong will push you forward a rank in that category
*Example: Chunnin with speed that is Strong is as Strong as a Special Jounin

However, if you choose to be strong in a category, you have to be weak in another. You cant just put strong for every category.

For every strong there is a weak and for ever weak there is a strong.
