| Alright so this topic is to address the issue of everyone ending their posts with hand signs. It is something that I have seen nearly every RPer do and it is something that needs to end. The reason being that ending a a post using hand signs is illogical and is a easy way to metagame without being caught. Let me explain.
When any shinobi weaves hand signs there is a PREDETERMINED jutsu used. What I have noticed on this site and almost all Naruto sites is that people weave hand signs at the end of their posts saying something like "John made a few hand signs and waited to see what his opponent would do". Seems fine, but what most don't realize is that is the easiest and most over looked way of metagaming. What usually occurs after this is if the person gets caught in something he cant dodge he'll say he used body flicker or substitution. OR he'll just use w/e jutsu they want to counter what the opponent did. That is the most illogical and metagamiest tactic ever.
Now, my solution. A rule should be implemented that you cannot end your post making hand signs unless the jutsu you use next REQUIRES A POST CHARGE. That means no more substitution or clone jutsu's. It means you can't just use any jutsu you want by saying you made hand signs. I think this is not only fair, but much more realistic.

| So over all this is saying if you are making handsigns your jutsu better be used in the same post. Instead of making handsigns then waiting for your opponent to post their jutsu, then you counter next post. Overall this is an easy rule to understand, but I think it will take some time getting used to. | |

| Hmm when you put it like that, I see the issue. I guess I have been guilty of doing this in the past, like some other people. I never thought about it like that though, i thought it was just strategy but I guess you could call it metagaming at the same time. I would have no issue if this was a rule put into effect. | |

| Well, what ever seal lawl. But I think it should at best have the corresponding seal that's been seen if it has to have a seal. | |

| Shushin jutsu seems to require handsigns outside of combat and none inside of combat. As Sasuke likes to use this without handsigns. But other ninja are shown to do it with handsigns outside of combat. So overall it 50/50. | |

| I agree with Bonboy. No seals in battle, but seals outside, but WIAT. The reason sasuke didn't need seals was because it was stated that the Uchiha had perfected it. That is why Sasuke did not use seals with his. On the other hand we don't really have much more to go from so I say seals for everyone at every time, but Uchiha who don't need seals for it in battle. | |

| How about a mastering system. Because as it shows, if you master a technique or jutsu, you don't need seals for it. So every jutsu gets a masterly level. Say, 10k for each jutsu depending on the jutsu. Like, S will be say 15k, and E will be 100 words? or actually E free and D will be like 10k. How's that sound? | |

| You guys lol. You are not thinking correctly. Mk now I have said this many times before. JUST BECAUSE IT HAPPENS IN THE ANIME DOES NOT MEAN IT CAN HAPPEN IN RP. We WILL NOT be using Body Flicker without hand signs. Why? Because then we'll have people flash stepping all over the damn place. The rule has been set and it will not change. For anyone. ALL JUSTU require hand signs except Taijutsu. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. This topic was not for a debate about that either. This topic is for the people who spam 3 hand signs in one post and don't activate them until 4 posts later. This rule has already been passed as well. Unless your jutsu requires a post charge, whenever you make hand signs, the jutsu must be used in the SAME POST. Mk? Done. Thanks for listening. You are the weakest link. Goodbye. | |

I find this to be a bad argument. "JUST BECAUSE IT HAPPENS IN THE ANIME DOES NOT MEAN IT CAN HAPPEN IN RP." What kind of shit is that when the entire RP is BASED from the Anime AND Manga. Sasuke is not the only one to use a Body Flicker without hand signs. Actually the Body Flicker is tied into the Substitution Technique, which as we know requires NO Hand signs. If they Shunpo and Flashstep using Body Flicker in the Anime AND Manga, then why not for an RP forum that allows powers far beyond that of fast movement.

| Lol just give it up Kazu. You are right about it being in the manga, and Sasuke not being the only, although he uses it the most. As for the limits its because it could be abused, and people would attempt to use it multiple times. As if this were a bleach rp. However I personally dont give a damn about Shushin, but I understand where both are coming from. | |
