Jiro was walking around in Yukigakure, wondering what to do next. "I need... power...." he muttered to himself lifelessly. "To get that power... I need to be merciless... to be persistent.... to destroy all..." he continued to himself. He stopped for a second. "And... to reclaim the village that I once held so dear..." he thought, clenching his fists. He walked into the pub that he usually went to when he needed information, or to collect his thoughts over an ice cold cup of water. He asked around and couldn't find anyone that knew of anything that could help one attain power. "I can help 'ye, kid... if you work at my farm north of here for two months I'll tell 'ya about a way you can attain the power 'yer lookin' for." he said in a strange accent. Jiro was hesitant for the longest time, but eventually decided it was his only option. He was desperate.

He traveled with the strange old man for days, far to the north. Why a farm would be in the Land of Snow where it's always snowing was beyond him. Maybe there was a dome that kept snow out for the crops to grow, or maybe by some miracle there was no snow where the farm was located. At any rate, Jiro was walking along with this mysterious man. His face was hidden by a hat that was colored a faded brown, and a long coat which was torn and ripped in some areas, along with some burn marks; however it was still enough to cover his whole body. "So... why are you doing this? Offering to tell me where I can find power just by working at your farm for a while?" Jiro finally spoke up, asking about this man's seemingly kind behavior despite his mysterious and somewhat intimidating appearance. He stopped walking for a minute with his back turned to Jiro. They stood there quietly for a few minutes, until he finally turned around with a welcoming grin on his face. "You could say it's because I like seeing ninja of a younger generation to grow strong!" he finally said in a kind voice and turned around again. Jiro noticed a big, horizontal slash across his eyes and a really deep scar on the back of his left hand. Judging from this, it was obvious that he was in a lot of really serious battles during his days as a ninja.

It was getting late and they decided to set up camp for the night. They slept in a small tent that the old man had luckily brought along the way. "So... what is your name, young man?" he asked, looking at Jiro as the two sat inside the tent looking over the hot fire in the center. "Jiro..." he muttered. He was hesitant to say his last name, as all it seemed to do was cause trouble. "I see. You don't have to say any more than that. I can see in your eyes that you aren't interested in telling me your last name." he replied shortly after. "....No, it isn't like that. I just..." he said, trying to prevent a misunderstanding from occuring. "...I'm going for a walk. Don't let the vultures eat you while I'm gone." Jiro said, getting up and leaving the tent. The old man merely watched him leave and then gazed back into the fire. "Haha, I remember the days when I was like that..." he thought to himself. He reminisced to himself for a while before standing up as well. "I'd better go keep an eye on him. At this time of night, anything can kill you in this place." he muttered and walked out of the tent. Around the tent was a huge forest and it was almost impossible to see two feet in front of you without something to light the way.

Meanwhile, Jiro was walking through the forest and gathering his thoughts. He constantly heard cries and screams in his head, begging for mercy. "That kind of torture... it's not right! I need the power this old man is rambling on about... but two months of working... that's alot of time wasted for something that he might even be lying about. However, he knew that it was his only option. It's not like he had any other choice but to do what he said for now. But at the moment, he didn't care about any of that stuff. He just wanted to gather his thoughts at the moment, something which he rarely got to do with everything in his mind flying in random directions all over the wall of his brain, confusing the ever-loving crap out of him. He sat down and thought of all he had been through. His final graduation from the academy, gaining holy bells which he later lost, getting his first Tomoe, creating his own Jutsu, training to obtain some of the Gates for his own use, then inevitably being killed in battle. His memory of being killed and how he was even brought back is extremely foggy, but he was glad that he got a second chance at life, even though being killed and then brought back to life kind of... well.... traumatized him a little bit, and changed his personality dramatically as opposed to how innocent and child-like he was before, he seems to be a lot more mature-minded now. Or emo and pessimistic. Either one would fit in quite well with how he was feeling at the moment.

His thoughts were broken when he heard a howl in the background. It sounded like a bear's cry of defeat echoing through the forest. It was as if someone had given the bear a megaphone and killed it while holding the megaphone to its mouth. That's how loud it sounded. Jiro knew that this wasn't just some animals fighting amongst themselves for food, water, territory, or whatever else it is that animals fight about in the wild. No, this bear was literally being tortured by whoever or whatever sick bastard was responsible.

Jiro ran to the sound and was shocked to see the bear on the floor, bleeding half to death against a tree with a few black tentacles sticking out of it. Seconds later, the tentacles ripped right through the bear, it exploding from the inside out and blood and organs and other innards flying all over the dirt and mixing in with the mud. What could be responsible for such an act? Surely nothing no normal ninja could manage to do. Jiro, traumatized further, pressed on. He had a feeling that soon, these kinds of things wouldn't bother him. He continued down a trail and soon heard yet another bear scream. He could tell it was a bear screaming because the scream sounded exactly the same as the last one. He ran up ahead and saw a bear inside a huge crater with the same tentacles sticking out. It, too, blew up in an explosion of its own innards, the tentacles ripping it to pieces bit by bit. He soon heard yet ANOTHER bear screaming. "That's it." Jiro thought in his head, getting really annoyed at following the tracks of whatever seemed to be pointlessly slaughtering the poor wildlife in this area. He didn't personally care about how many animals died, what he DID care about, however, was how powerful his opponent was, and if he could beat him. He was also concerned because he craved whatever brutal and ruthless power this thing possessed. He was also getting annoyed at how his supposed peaceful walk kept getting interrupted by a bear screaming its damn head off every 2 seconds and then getting themselves blown up from the inside out every time Jiro found them.

Jiro dashed at full speed to the location of the next bear scream to arrive at the exact same scenario. Tentacles in bear's body, preparing to rip it limb from limb. "I've had enough of this." Jiro muttered. He ran to the bear, ripped the tentacle out leaving a huge gaping hole in the middle of its chest, threw the tentacle against the wall, quickly performed the necessary handsigns and shot a Fireball Jutsu at it, successfully burning it to a crisp. He walked back to the bear and saw it rolling around in pain due to having a tentacle that was literally trying to tear its heart out ripped right out of its fucking chest halfway through the already painful procedure. "I guess I should put you out of your misery then..." Jiro said, pulling out his katana and looking away as he slit its throat. The bear went silent and its body went lifeless. It was clear that the poor creature was dead. What an unfitting death for such a strong creature. But at the moment, all Jiro wanted was getting to whoever was doing this. He came to a clearing and saw something in the distance. A man in a black leather jacket, straw hat, basic black ninja pants and brown boots was slashing down a huge amount of what appeared to be rogue ninja. "Hahaha! I'm number one, I'M number one! With the powers I possess, you worthless rookies don't stand a chance against I, the powerful Denkiteki!" he shouted, laughing and cutting through countless ninja with only a sword. 3 Ninja came at him from behind, 2 in front, and 1 on each side, all closing in on him, and all of them throwing Kunai at him at once. "He's done." Jiro grinned, and started to turn his vision away, before looking back to see those same ninja that were previously about to kill him now on the ground, tentacles extending from the man known as Denkiteki and piercing through all of their chests. He then picked them all up at once and threw them all in the directions they originally came from.

The overconfident man known as Denkiteki stood victorious and overconfident in the middle of it all, laughing his head off. He appeared to be sick in the head and a little insane at seeing death of that degree to be entertaining. "Real funny. Now fight someone that's actually worth your time." Jiro walked out into the clearing and towards the overconfident lunatic. "Ah, we got one last tough guy who wants to stand up to the platter, eh? All these guys were the same as you when they stepped in, and NOW look at the mess they're in. All of them died worthless lives! Completely WORTHLESS!" he shouted as he picked one of the lifeless bodies up with his hand and threw him against a tree with no effort at all, smashing them through the tree. Jiro's calm and cocky expression faded a bit. He sounded and looked confident a few minutes ago, but now that he thinks of it logically, he wouldn't have stood a chance against that many ninja, and this guy didn't even have to look at half of them. "He's way out of my league... should I even be doing this right now...? It'd be best to run, but..." he thought in a panic. "No... if I run from this battle, I'll never be able to fight the ones who took over my village!" he concluded immediately after. Judging from how fast his thoughts passed through his head, it was clear that he wasn't at his best mentally or strategically at the moment.

"So, are you going to keep me waiting all day? Let's hurry this up, I have bigger fish to fry!" Denkiteki shouted as tendrils emerged from the palm of his right hand and branched out towards Jiro. Jiro managed to slash them away, but the ones that he cut kept regrowing and attaching back to the branches of tendrils lunging at him. At this rate, Jiro would soon be dead, remembering what happened to the bears and what he effortlessly did to an entire battalion of rogue ninja. They were low-ranked rogue ninja, obviously, but they were still stronger than Jiro was, most likely. Jiro back-flipped up a tree and up onto a branch where the tendrils continued to follow him. He slipped up by half a second and a tendril got around his guard, wrapping around his waist and throwing him to the ground. Then Denkiteki grinded him along the dirt and pulled Jiro's face up to his own with the tendrils holding him in place. "You're no different from those other ninja... a shame, really." Denkiteki remarked and then grabbed Jiro around his neck and released the tendrils. He tossed Jiro across the clearing where he landed in a pile of dirt in defeat. "Ugh..." Jiro was struggling to breath, while at the same time, trying to avoid Denkiteki's next attack that was obviously coming.

"Now I'll finish you off by ripping that pretty little heart of yours out!" Denkiteki shouted mercilessly as he shot out tendrils from both of his arms at once. Just as they were about to connect with Jiro, the old man from before grabbed them with his right hand and, with his left hand, chopped the tendrils in half with his hand. "Who the hell are YOU, old man?!!! Step aside, me and this idiot have some business to finish. Unless YOU want to die as well? I'd be happy to oblige! AHAHAHAHA!" Denkiteki beamed with insane, maniacal laughter as he sent more of the weird, noodle-y substance towards the two. Jiro got in front of the old man with his sword drawn and fire ignited around his sword. "Flame Splitter!" Jiro shouted, a wave of fire slicing through the tendrils. Denkiteki was shocked at this display. "Impressive technique, kid! Very impressive... BUT CAN YOU KEEP IT UP?!!! HAHAHAHAAAAA!!!" Denkiteki was 100% batshit insane at this point. No man could compare to his craziness as he shot twice as many tendrils this time.

Jiro was still too weak from the insane freak's previous assault on him to move. Just as Jiro was about to face death yet again, the old man stood in front this time. The tendrils pierced his chest, somach, both his legs, and his left arm. Denkiteki pulled the man over to him at full speed and punched him multiple times while the tendrils held him in place. "Hahaha.." the man started laughing wildly and recovered from the punches. "What's so funny? I've just beaten you to within an inch of your life and you find it funny? Well then, let's settle this right now-" Denkiteki was interrupted as the man puffed into smoke. "It was a Shadow clone. You really don't pay any attention, do you?!" the old man shouted from above. He was holding a kunai with a paper bomb attached. Denkiteki had a look of shock on his face and tried to avoid it, but he couldn't retract his tendrils fast enough. The kunai had hit him dead in the center of his chest and the paper bomb detonated, not only presumably killing Denkiteki, but blowing the old man back aswell. He flew back and landed to the left of Jiro.

"We have to get out of here, NOW!!" the old man shouted in a panic. He grabbed Jiro who wasn't able to move fast enough at the moment, and put him over his shoulder as he dashed at an unbelievable speed through the woods and back to the tent, not even waiting for the smoke around where Denkiteki blew up to clear. At this point it was daylight. They were packing their things and preparing to leave. It was freezing out this early in the morning. The point where the sun was only starting to rise. It was a long, painful night for Jiro, considering he spent the gist of it fighting someone that came right ouf of the loony bin. He didn't seem all that smart on top of it, falling for something as simple as a Shadow Clone trick followed by being killed by a paper bombed Kunai, of all things. "What a humiliating way to go... being killed by something as simple as a paper bomb and kunai combination. By an old man, yet..." he thought. Of course, no old man could do those things without some sort of training. Jiro decided it would be best to not underestimate those of any age from now on, no matter how young or old they were. That kind of self-advice may come in handy later on, as underestimating led to death for so many ninja he couldn't even keep track of and remember all of them that did it on a daily basis.

The two continued on their adventure to the old man's farm for another 2 whole days. They saw tourist attractions, ninja sparring matches, and other various entertainment. None of it took Jiro off of his goal though. He wanted to get the long, painful two months over with and get the power he desires. Perhaps this power was something equal to or greater than that of the psychopath they had fought recently before. He'd been wasting so much time because of his old man's antics and his tendencies to stop at every small attraction, shop, and even took the time to greet himself to almost every single person that walked by him. All of this together was infuriating Jiro to no end. He wanted to get to this farm already and was annoyed at how long it was taking to get to this farm. "Well, we're about a mile away at this point. We'd might as well stop for the night at this inn, no?" the old man questioned the young, starting-to-become-frustrated Uchiha. "...Fine. But we'll leave first thing in the morning. I mean right at dawn." Jiro stated in a disappointed tone. This whole thing was most likely a test, cleverly set up by the old man that he was following to test his patience and see if he could even endure the journey to his farm, let alone work there for a long and hard two months. Jiro was finally starting to clue in. All the attractions, ninja sparring matches, window shopping and buying was all a test to see if he was worthy enough to even make it to his farm without giving up due to a loss of patience. Realizing this, Jiro decided to keep to himself about it for now, and was determined to prove this old man wrong, that he really could endure through anything to get the power that he truly desired at the end of a long road. But for now, he decided that he actually did need rest. He still hadn't fully recovered from that previous fight with the tentacle freak, and a night of peace and quiet in a bed for once instead of a lumpy old sleeping bag out in the wilderness would be just what he needed all this time. He was starting to lose it himself a bit after the battle with Denkiteki. He was frustrated that he was powerless to do anything about it, and at the same time relieved that the old man was there to save him. Deciding that it was pointless to worry further on this at the moment, he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Jiro woke up to the sound of metal clashing against metal outside. He looked out the window of his room in the inn and saw people fighting in the streets! The villagers were fighting with household items and farming tools against rogue ninja and were getting absolutely slaughtered. The old man was fighting them too, seeming to be the only one actually killing any of the ninja. Jiro rushed down the stairs to join the battle, but when he got to the lobby, rogue ninja surrounded him in all directions. He activated his Sharingan and jumped over one of the rogue ninja when they ran at him, and kicked him into another directly behind him. Then Jiro took on 3 at once in a sword fight. Jiro deflected their blades and knocked them into the air, then cut all 3 of them down at once with a horizontal slash. The last one shook in fear and dropped to the ground. They were clearly very inexperienced combatants, the ones attacking this village. Without hesitation, Jiro kicked the last one up against a wall and before they could rebound and fall to the ground, he kicked the ninja in the stomach, successfully trapping him against the wall. Without a second thought, Jiro slit the ninja's throat. An evil glare was in Jiro's eyes when 3 more ran into the entrance and threw shuriken at him. Jiro activated his Sharingan, grabbed 2 of the shuriken coming at him, one in each hand, did a flip and jumped over the 3rd and final one, threw the two shuriken back at the two ninja who threw them originally, killing them, then quickly pulled out his sword again and ran the third one through the chest with his katana, successfully putting him out aswell.

Jiro walked outside and was greeted by 6 more rogue ninja all surrounding him. He sighed and deactivated his Sharingan. "Not even worth the Chakra to keep this active." he said out loud, successfully making the ninja mad. He ran his blade through one of the ninja coming at him from behind, then quickly pulled it out and slashed another one across the waist, which he then followed up with another downward slash down the middle, leaving 4 ninja still alive. Seeing how quickly the young Uchiha has been dispatching their forces, they were now hesitant to come at him. "Getting scared? You should be...." Jiro paused for a moment, letting them get thoughts into their head on his words. "...Because I'll assure you that none of you get out of here alive." he finished in an emotionless tone. "Now, who's coming next? I'll even sheath my sword. All I need is the simplest of Taijutsu to dispose of people like you." he said, sheathing his sword and his expression not changing. He let the ninja get into their formation surrounding him and stood there as they all jumped him at once. One of them came right at him with their right fist in the air. Jiro stopped his attack midair by grabbing his arm and tossing him into two coming from behind. He then quickly ducked the incoming attack from behind. He quickly got behind the last of them and kicked the back of his leg, tripping him. "You're pathetic. I'm going to end your life in an extra special way." Jiro said calmly, standing next to the now grounded and helpless ninja. "1st Gate, open." Jiro said in his mind. He brought his right fist down on the poor ninja, shattering the ground a bit as he did this. The bones cracking in his body could be heard among the impact. Jiro knew at that moment that the ninja had enough, and decided to spare him, instead deciding to leave him to a life on a cane or crutches for the rest of their life, never again to be a ninja, something that some would consider a far worse punishment than death.

He walked for a while until he saw his traveling companion again, the old man, whom was finishing up with the last of the rogue ninja that attacked the village. "What was that all about?" Jiro asked, then directed his attention to all the dead villagers as well as the ninja. "And the villagers... there are so many dead..." he continued. "...They're after me. I was once a member of their group, and they don't want me to leave with their secrets." the old man replied. "...Just who are you?" Jiro finally asked the question that had been plaguing him since he first met the guy. The old man paused for a long time. It could be assumed that he was thinking about whether to tell him or not. Maybe his name held some deep importance. Or perhaps he just liked being mysterious. "....Faraku Nijame." he finally said. "And that's all I'll tell you at the moment. Now, come! We have work to do and places to be... I trust that the villagers can clean up this mess here, there weren't all that many casualites." he said, starting to walk again.

They walked for a long time, and finally they had reached the farm that Faraku, the old man, was referring to. When they went inside, Jiro was pleasantly surprised at how well the place was intact, especially for being way out in the middle of nowhere. A girl walked down the stairs and froze up when she saw Jiro. "GRANDPA! There's a stranger in the house! A stranger!" she shouted, scared and thinking that Jiro was some sort of criminal here to rob them of everything for kicks and then kill them on the sly. "Calm down, Rebecca... he came with me." Faraku said as he entered the room. "He'll be with us for a couple months, so get used to his company." he said. "Well Jiro, let's get right to work, shall we?" Faraku said, then walked out of the fancy house they lived in and over to a barn. "Get digging holes in this field. We'll need lots of crops ready by the end of your time here. The busy season's coming up soon and we need as much as we can get. Use this shovel and plant this whole field. I expect you'll be done by the end of the day at the most." he added while handing Jiro a shovel.

And so, Jiro suffered through brutal manual labor for a whole month. He got a lot done which was a surprise to Faraku and his granddaughter. They expected him to only do half of what he did at the time. You could say it was just his determination truly showing through when it's needed most. Or it could be a lust for the information on the power he was promised. It might even just be that he was a natural when it came to farming and gardening and the like, and that in actuality he wasn't really even trying. Regardless, Jiro was being pushed to his limit every day working under the hot sun. Good thing they were still on the outer rim of Yukigakure, otherwise by now he'd be utterly bone dry from the intense heat, but a cool breeze did travel through from time to time and cool him off. Jiro worked harder and harder with each passing day, sweating buckets an hour. If he kept this up, it'd end up more effective than the ninja training he did.

Skipping ahead a bit, it is now one week away from getting the info from Faraku on the info he was promised. Jiro has now almost died from heat exhaustion several times. At this point, his work has been a fine line between determination, lust, and sheer stupidity. He has nearly sacrificed his life for information that might just end up a corny ass speech like "You've persevered, and that is the greatest strength of all" or something, to which Jiro would rage at to no end about. But Jiro was hoping for the best out of this, he was REALLY hoping. This was honestly the most tiring work he's ever done. Who knew doing some work out here out in the boonies would prove more exhausting physically than it was at the academy' unfortunately it didn't do so much mentally, as it was just the same tiring things over and over again, which is probably why farming isn't in the job description for a ninja. However Jiro thought it would be better to just look past that and work patiently and obediently for whatever power lied at the end of it. Skipping ahead again, it's now the last day of Jiro's farm work and Faraku has been around less and less lately, meaning he puts Rebecca in charge when he isn't there, which is a bad thing for Jiro as, damn, that girl's really bossy, something you wouldn't expect from a small little who was previously hiding from him all the time. But nope, today she was acting like a frickin' military general straight from the Nazis. Jiro ignored her whining about how he was doing it wrong, or that he was going to slow, or even that he didn't make her lunch and that she'd tell her grandpa when he got back. Come to think of it, where was he, anyway? Out enjoying nature and doing not-so-strenuous activites while he slaved here nearly burning to death? Or perhaps he just wanted to see how much Jiro could endure of this living hell. Hopefully he'd be back soon with a smiling face and say "Congratulations! You're done!" and then tell him the info he was working for, but apparently not. At this point it was night, too late to continue farming. So he and Rebecca went into the house and waited for him. They waited and waited and they didn't even talk to each other. All of a sudden, a rock with a paper bomb attached flew through the window and landed on the table that Jiro and Rebecca were sitting at. Jiro, wide-eyed, jumped out of his chair and back-flipped behind another table, blocking him from the explosion that inevitably went off. When the smoke cleared, he saw Rebecca lying on the floor dead. Rage filled Jiro's eyes when he saw the sight. He wanted to know who the killer was, so he could kill the person himself. They jumped in through the winds, busted down the doors and came from upstairs, and eventually the entire living room was full of rogue ninja.

Jiro drew his sword and looked at the ground, a mixture of anger and depression from what he was looking at. These people were so merciless as to kill a little girl in this way. "There's going to be no mercy for any of you. You're all going to die." he said, emotionless. He activated his Sharingan, and then the 1st Gate and cut through 5 rogue ninja with unbelievable speed and strength. He plowed through the unlucky bastards that were attacking the house. Jiro jumped on top of a table and was starting to get tired. He took a deep breath and tried to regain his strength, but it was to no avail. He wasn't himself right now. He was thirsty for blood after witnessing an innocent bystander that had nothing to do with it die, and therefore he couldn't think straight and couldn't remember that he had to conserve his strength in a battle of this size. A ninja came up him from behind when he dropped his guard and stabbed him in the shoulder with a kunai, then kicked him off the table. The ninja had an evil and murderous grin spreading across his face. It was obvious that he was thinking of killing Jiro at this point. Jiro's life started to flash before his eyes, thinking back on all his successes and failures up to this point that made him who he was. He closed his eyes and waited for the final blow to be dealt. He heard a scream and opened his eyes again. The ninja was dead on the table, a shuriken stuck in his chest. Jiro turned to look behind him and saw Faraku walking in. "What the..." the old man was shocked, turning his gaze from Jiro to the dead ninja, to the alive ninja still everywhere, to his dead granddaughter. "Who did all this...?" Faraku asked in disbelief. However, he knew the answer was right in front of him, judging from the flames and everything else spreading everywhere. "1st Gate... open." the old man said with anger clearly in his voice. The ninja continued approaching him. Jiro tried to get up and help him, but couldn't. "Stay out of this one, kid. 2nd Gate, open." he continued. They were now running at him. "3rd Gate, OPEN!" Faraku shouted, then charged at an unbelievable speed forward, leaving a shockwave of energy behind him. He ran right through the ninja, ripping them to pieces from the speed alone. "4th Gate, OPEN!" he continued, running through them in all directions, the speed and fierceness of the wind alone killing them. "5th Gate, OOOOOOPEEEEEN!" he shouted. Faraku was moving so fast that Jiro could only slightly see that Faraku's skin was red.

The old man smashed the a ninja square in the face and sent him tumbling backwards at high speeds into a bunch of other ninja presumably killing all of the poor victims. The red disappeared from Faraku's skin upon killing the last of them, and he fell to his knees. Getting that far in the gates' power presumably does that to people. The old man eventually got back up. He didn't look kind like he usually did. Anger was burning in his eyes as he picked up the dead body of his granddaughter and carried her outside. Jiro followed and they walked along a moonlit path. All the work that the poor, desperate Uchiha did was for nothing, as they burned the crops as well as the entire field. They walked until they came to a nearby forest and buried Rebecca. When they were done, he turned to Jiro. "The answers you seek... well, let's sit down and talk about it." he said. "After all, you did do your 2 months of work." he added. They sat down at rocks in the forest with a fire in the middle. "The man named Denkiteki... is still alive." he finally said after a few minutes of silence. Jiro's eyes widened and he listened carefully and with concern. "Those tendrils that extended from his body..." he continued, a slight bit of fear in his voice. "....They're the power you seek. You must defeat him and take the tendrils from his body." he said. "How do I do that?" Jiro replied, sounding a bit skeptical about this whole thing since, after all, it was obvious that what that lunatic Denkiteki did wasn't exactly normal. "Just accept them into your body. You'll know when it's time." he replied to Jiro's comment vaguely. "But how do I find Denkiteki?" Jiro continued to ask questions. "I predict that by now he's probably in a small village to the north of here. It's the only other civilization around these parts." the old man claimed with confidence, as if he knew the area like the back of his hand.

"Well then, I'll be going now. I've wasted too much time here." Jiro finished, getting up from his awkward rock seat and walking away. Faraku followed him. "What is it?" Jiro turned around and asked him with curiosity. "Look around, boy. There's nothing left for me here, my home is burnt to the ground, my crops are all gone and my granddaughter is dead. The only thing I can and might as well do is come with you and ensure that you survive this." the old man stated. Jiro somewhat agreed and the two walked until they reached the village. For a "small" village it was quite packed with people roaming the streets. They roamed the village and asked around for a man with Denkiteki's description, but couldn't find him. They were getting tired, restless, and yet had to stay on guard, which was ripping them apart. They both agreed that they should get some rest, and so they did, staying at an inn for the night. The next day they awoke peacefully to the sound of birds chirping, sun shining and people outside discussing prices at the shops. It was very peaceful here. At times like this, Jiro wished he had a village to return to. His whole reason for going through all of this was to one day try to take back his village, in fact. But enough of that. At the moment he had to focus on getting one step closer to that goal, rather than dreaming too far ahead. He knew that people who dreamed to big at the start would crash and burn upon realizing that it'd take a lot longer than they expected to realize their goal. But never mind that now. Jiro was looking around the village, going from house to house and shop to shop asking people if they saw Denkiteki anywhere. However, it was all for nothing, as no one even knew who the hell he was talking about.

His spirits starting to drop with each passing person that said they had not a single clue who he was referring to, Jiro and Faraku went into a pub and had drinks of water, as it was the only thing on the menu of drinks that Jiro was legally allowed to drink. The two of them sulked, neitherr able to find information on Denkiteki or his whereabouts. "I thought you said he'd be around this area..." Jiro whispered to Faraku, whom was sitting in the seat next to him. "He is. I know he is." the old man replied. Jiro looked at him with a look of doubt. He was starting to doubt the wise old man's words. They got up and went outside to search further. For another long, grueling day, nothing at all yet again. Jiro was at the edge of giving up, but pressed on anyway. Now knowing that the power were the tendrils that Denkiteki controlled, he was more motivated than ever, and wouldn't give this opportunity up for the world.

The sun was starting to set and they were about to pack it in for the day, when a blood curdling scream sounded a block away from where Jiro and Faraku were. They ran to the scene and saw a man with a tentacle sticking out of his chest. "This brings back not-so-fond memories of what happened a while ago..." Jiro sighed and ripped the tentacle out of the man. Unfortunately, the man died anyway. They continued and heard another scream. This time it was a woman and also had a tentacle sticking out of her. Before they could pull it out of her, it ripped her limb from limb and ripped her heart out. She died a very painful and very gruesome death. Jiro didn't care all that much personally. Faraku, on the other hand, was concerned. How many people would Denkiteki kill? It certainly wouldn't end here, that's for sure. They came to the city square where Denkiteki was slaughtering the townsfolk. Jiro quickly drew his sword and charged at him with full power. Denkiteki withdrew his tentacles back into his body and and drew a katana of his own that was sheathed on his left side previously. As the two locked blades their faces were centimeters apart. The tension was increasing at an alarming rate between these two. Denkiteki used his tendrils to reinforce the blade and push back. "I won't lose out to you....!" Jiro shouted and activated the first gate, giving him the strength to push back and break his sword in half. Then Jiro started slashing at his mid-section, but it was all in vain as the tendrils were blocking the sword's strikes. More tendrils came out of Denkiteki's mouth and shot at Jiro's head. They lifted him into the air and started crushing his head. Right before Jiro's head could be crushed, Faraku jumped in and cut the tendrils with a kunai, although they grew back and reattached to Denkiteki afterwards, however he did release Jiro, who was now on the ground gasping for air. He owed this man his life 3 times over at this point.

Denkiteki pushed the old man back with his tendrils and ran out of the village. Jiro and Faraku followed him and they arrived at a cliff. Denkiteki was near the edge with the other two coming at him. "So you want to fight me really bad, huh? Well let's get slaughtering! Gahaha!" he shouted as the tendrils shot straight past Jiro and Faraku before they could move and stabbed a rogue ninja behind them. Jiro and Faraku looked behind and saw a huge battalion of rogue ninja coming at them. Denkiteki stepped forward in between Jiro and Faraku. "I must admit, not even I can take on this many alone. We should work together until this is done. After that we can duke it out alone, got it?" he said, grining as he shot more tendrils out, plowing through enemy forces. Jiro and Faraku dashed forward and slashed through them. They spent almost an hour slaughtering hundreds of ninja. "They're weak, but they sure do come in huge numbers." Jiro said, starting to become tired. The old man and Denkiteki seemed to become tired as well. He was amazed at how they still seemed to fight perfectly, regardless of state of energy.

Denkiteki ripped up the last of the rogue ninja and then turned his attention back to Jiro and Faraku. Denkiteki was at the edge of the cliff and Jiro was directly behind the insane tendril-fighting maniac himself. "Guys, guys let's calm down here. We can all settle this like proper gentleman, can't w-" Denkiteki was interrupted by Jiro running right up to him and slashing him three times in the midsection. Denkiteki winced in pain for half a second and then kicked Jiro, sliding him along the ground a few feet away. Faraku came at him from the other way while he did this. "Ha! Old man, don't even try to compare to my great skills." Denkiteki shouted as if he had eyes on the back of his head and somehow knew that the old man was coming at him and forming hand signs. He turned his gaze to Faraku and blasted him through the chest with the tendrils. He poofed into smoke seconds later and was replaced with a log. "Substitution...?!" Denkiteki shouted angrily, now paranoid about where the old man would come from. "The same old trick again, eh?" Faraku shouted from above, throwing another kunai with a paper bomb attached, just like last time. Denkiteki grinned and tendrils extended from his arm and grabbed the kunai, then threw it back at Faraku. Faraku had a look of shock in his eyes that his opponent, who previously couldn't react to that attack, could easily assess and predict it. The old man dodged the kunai by half a centimeter, but the paper bomb detonated and blew up in midair right next to him. Faraku's burnt body fell to the ground in defeat. He tried to get up and continue fighting, but Denkiteki picked him up with a tendril and dragged him over to him. "Ha! Weak old man, just die." he said in a cocky tone and lunged a tendril right through his chest and tossed him away, landing to the right of Jiro. "Damn!" Jiro shouted out loud and rushed over to him. "Are you going to be okay?!" he asked in shock. "Haha... no... I'll be gone soon..." he said weakly. "Sorry, I did the best I could.... you have to carry on from here..." he finished and then closed his eyes. Jiro put him down and stood up to face Denkiteki. "He was a waste of space in this world to begin with. Just forget he existed!" Denkiteki said and then laughed evilly. "Forget he existed...?" Jiro thought in his head. "No... after witnessing everything that has happened, I can't just forget. This man and his granddaughter, all the people slaughtered at the village, and all the rogue ninja." he said, getting up and drawing his blade. He closed his eyes for a second. "I need the power to save all of them! And you have it right with you!" Jiro shouted angrily as he opened his eyes to reveal a new, green Sharingan. Denkiteki was a little intimidated at first at this kid's sudden determination, as well as the new eyes he had, but eventually gained back his cocky composure.

"You can't stop me! Who cares what color yours eyes are! I am the great Denkiteki! No one can compare!" he shouted then laughed afterwards. While he was laughing, Jiro ran at him at an incredible speed. It was clear he had activated the first gate. Denkiteki didn't have time to react and took the full force of the kick into the air that Jiro delivered. Denkiteki recovered in midair and shot out small tentacles which acted as projectiles. However, due to the new Sharingan, he could see these tentacles coming at him more clear than ever before. He deflected them with his katana and sliced a few of them, then jumped into the air and slashed Denkiteki across the chest, which sent him piling into the ground. Jiro landed a few feet away and as the smoke and rubble cleared, it was revealed that Denkiteki was saved via using his tendrils to block the fall. He got up and his arms shot out and shockingly, the tendrils were holding them to his skin, meaning he could shoot his arms out at will. As unexpected as it was, Jiro still saw it coming and grabbed the arm shooting at him and grabbed it with his left hand before it hit him, then sliced it off with his katana. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH!!!" Denkiteki howled in pain. I guess getting your arm cut off does that. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" he shouted as tendrils began to come out of everywhere, his back, his mouth, pouring out of his arm that was still intact and tendrils formed a new arm replacing the one that was cut off. He pounded Jiro so hard that it brought his eyes back to normal. He smashed him into a tree and laughed. "What was that kid? Without those eyes you're nothing. Nothing but a little weakling." he said confidently. Jiro struggled to get up and kept falling back down. He finally managed to stand to his feet, however, Denkiteki shot a tendril at him which choked him up right up against the tree. "I can't.. breathe...." he thought to himself. "This can't be the end... can it...?" he continued thinking.

"I have to try one more time..." he thought. "I'm not ready yet. I have to save the village first.... and to do that... I have to kill you..." he struggled to breathe out the words so that Denkiteki could hear him, but he managed to. "Come on... break free! 2nd Gate... open!" he thought in his mind. The healing of the 2nd gate gave him the strength back that he needed to break free. He busted out of it and ran straight for Denkiteki. He pulled out his katana and slashed through the incoming tendrils. "Don't underestimate me. I can still fight even without my Sharingan activated!" he shouted with anger and detemination as he formed hand signs. The tendrils took his blade from his hand and threw it against the ground, then picked up Jiro and brought him to Denkiteki's face. "Well, kid? Where's your talk now, in the face of death? It's over, you weren't even worth it, but I'll take your heart as a consolation, how's that?" he asked maniacally as he used a tendril and ripped through Jiro's skin and through his chest and started taking his heart out. However, he disappeared in a puff of smoke and was replaced with Jiro's katana. "No! Wha-" before he could finish, the sword that he threw into the ground was replaced with Jiro. "You were saying? I've had enough of you, just burn away!" Jiro shouted and formed handsigns again. "Fire style: Fireball Jutsu!" he shouted as a fireball bigger than any he had ever blown before shot forward, hitting Denkiteki head on and creating a massive explosion. When it cleared, Jiro's katana flew out and stuck in the ground next to him. Jiro picked it up and sheathed it, and walked up to the almost-dead Denkiteki. "No... how...?" he asked weakly and in disbelief. "Because my desire to live is stronger than yours." Jiro said calmly as he stood over him. The tentacles exited Denkiteki's body and flew inside Jiro's. "Hmmm... this is the power..." Jiro thought to himself. "No... why are you looking at me like that?!" Denkiteki shouted with the last of his strength, gazing in horror as a tendril came out of the palm of Jiro's hand and ripped through Denkiteki's flesh, tearing out his heart and absorbing it into Jiro's body. He felt a sudden surge of energy, as if he had two hearts. "Hahahaha.... this power... it feels... great!" Jiro laughed evilly as the tendrils picked up Denkiteki's body and tossed him over the cliff. "Rest in pieces." Jiro said emotionlessly as he walked away from the scene with his new powers.

I was reincarnated yesterday by Sanctuary. And I didn't see EGF in the approved section, so I assumed this was open.
